Anonymous Coward User ID: 25778759 United States 05/31/2013 09:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ..meanwhile in California USA.. I've been trying to buy a house for the past year and have just now decided to take a step back.. Husband and I have no kids, he makes decent money and I own my own business which is doing better each year. We've wanted to start a family for a while as we've been married for 7 yesrs now, but need a home base to start doing so, yet can't seem to get a house.. Been through at least several homes with good offers, all well over asking price, and been outbid EVERY time by "overseas investors with an all cash offer". My elderly parents keep riding my ass because they have NO CLUE how difficult it is these days to do what seemed so simple to them 40 years ago.. In the last year, I have seen the same homes jump $100,000, 40+ offers already in on homes barely even on the market! People are starting to lose their minds again, ala 2005, putting in rediculous offers just to get a bite! Not sure about the rest of the country, but its gone full retard here in Cali. I'm gonna kick back for a while and see what happens to the market.. |

Same here, hubby and I are about to buy and the prices here in my area went up considerably....like 30, 40 thousand (Inland Empire area) from last year. We're waiting for the prices to drop again, but now I'm thinking, if we should buy or not now. |

Dr. Atmood User ID: 7218587 United States 05/31/2013 09:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it's already back and way too high where i live in northern virginia. it needs to go back down! Quoting: m&m's Of course it is there. That's where the government aristocracy lives. The rest of the country is still treading water. They tried to say that housing was coming back, but all it got was the usual springtime bounce. It has already started to level off and we're not even into summer yet. |

Somebody... User ID: 967366 United States 05/31/2013 09:59 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So when's this housing market going back up!? I keep reading, and hearing that the housing market is on the come up, but I haven't seen it, am I missing something here!? Because it seems like they have been saying this same shit for years, and nothing is happening! Quoting: Utu You obviously are unaware of QE3...kiss home ownership goodbye for your children as the 'rule-by-force' system comes online. Communism's dogma does not have room for ownership of anykind. |
