seen plenty of shadow people. stay away from them. tell them to go.

I am a Home Care Nurse and the main house I work at is haunted. I tried for the longest time NOT to believe, but it just didn't work. I see shadows all the time and see things move out of the corner of my eye the whole time I am there. I will admit that it freaks me out a bit and over the last few months I have gotten used to it. I don't like it, but I love my patient and his care and needs trump my fear.

Now, I have a renewed fear. Last week I was laying down in the room provided to us to rest while he is sleeping...and all of the sudden it felt like something "swooped" into the room and came right up to my face and grabbed my wrist. It all happened so fast that I just shut my eyes and yelled at it to "leave me the f$&k alone!" It left just as fast as it came in. Scared the piss out of me. The weird thing though is that I could feel it against my face and I could feel the pressure on my wrist. It didn't hurt, but felt very hot. When I opened my eyes I was sweating. I always thought that ghosts or shadows gave off a cold feeling.

It's the first time in my life that anything like that has ever happened to me and to be honest it did scare me, but not as much as I always thought it would. Kinda pissed me off lol.

interessting indeed ,did it hurt you? maybe it was someone you loved very much and died but tried to contact you? just speculating

once i saw one shadow man in the store-basement of a 13 floor skyscraper passing by. i called it, but it moved away/dissapear with totally no sound.
later that day i got bike accident, my bike handle crash touch a parked car side mirror, i was launch from the seat and broke my shoulder joint.

Not really sure what it is. Once I leave the house to come home the feeling is gone. I am there with him overnight alone. I can usually feel something come into the room also. One night I was sitting on the bed. The room I was in faces the hallway and the wall is covered in photos. A shadow went down the hallway and the pictures on the wall looked distorted as it passed. Then it came back down the hallway and the pictures did the same thing. Strange as hell. His wife died in the house back in July. I was thinking that maybe it was her.

I used to see shadow people as a child, they are present and can be seen like you stated from the corner of the eye, but when one looks directly they vanish… most of the time. They are evil, like the observer can feel this. At first I chased them away by looking at them or confronting them. In time I saw/ felt one materialize into a demon, that I confronted and chased out of the house, had I caught it I would have torn it apart as I was angry with it for causing me such fear, in materializing and "coming for me". I was paralized with the fear until I realized what was happening when I did, I ran to confront it and it turned and fled. I discovered what they are and made it known to them that they had no authority to be around me and my house. I have not noticed them to this day… but can see them in others/ places if I try, but they keep away from me... as they understand the implications of their interference. No. i have seen a shadow person, it was the size of a kid and it was staring right at me. this wasnt in the corner of my eye, i looked away 3 times and only on the 3rd time i seen it vanish into the wall that it was in front of

the thing is this is my dads house he moved to the country and now my family live here but as a teen my dad had an experince in the house where he woke but was paralyzed and the bed was shaking he could see two dents in the mattress after...the conclusion was he was under a lot of stress at the time and that was all. Buy now after this im starting to make a connection. Ideally id like to know if its the house or if its us thats attracted it/them?

they hate noise, just put your radio/stereo/tv etc loud enough.

It can be both. There are physical objects that have spirits attached to them or individuals that are exposed to any form of witchcraft - generational curses, etc. Not all witchcraft appears malevolent. Looks harmless but acts as a portal.

cheers M1 ive never experienced anything in this house, but ive had a sleep paralysis episode years ago but it wasnt this house.

Sleep Paralysis, just means he woke up from a dream but his body didn't realize he woke up so his body was still paralyzed. the body paralyzes you when you enter REM which is when you are dreaming so you dont act out your dreams

sometimes you only partly wake up and u still see and hear your dream but in the real world.

I never knew about this before. Recently I have had to destroy several objects around me that were "unclean" I know outside the spiritual realm this seems weird, but there are reasons beyond known science why people are haunted. Interestingly…

I have had some experience with them. Many follow teenagers and harass them. They think they are easier targets. It is interesting that your father had an incident with his bed. Many shadow figures like to hover over beds and they also hang out around bathrooms. They target people who are at a weak point in their life. It sounds like your father was under stress and that the shadow figure knew about it. If your wife is seeing the shadow figure now it may have something to with the house.


When I was in my early twenties I saw one looking at my brother while he was sleeping. I opened the door quickly and I saw him hovering. They usually have bluish eyes. like a flame and not like humans. He looked surprised to see me and I told him to leave. I have not seen one since so simply telling them to leave works. At least sometimes. There seems to be little tricksters that like to harass kids but some are quite mean.

The poster who asked if you believe in God may have a good point. Simply saying the name Jesus causes fear in the shadow people but it is the same with Islamic prayer. It may be the human power behind the belief.

I lived in a "haunted house" for 7 years. It was built in 1921 and the lady who had lived there before us since the 50's died in it. We bought it from her daughter in 1998.

After we had lived there about a year we tore the kitchen out to update it. We found written on the wall behind one of the cabinets a note written in pencil on the wall that said something to the effect that the previous owner's husband and son had redone the kitchen, their names and a date. We thought it was sweet but then things started happening. We think maybe the old lady didn't like us messing up her house.

It started out just small things but by the time we moved doors were opening and closing by themselves. The basement door would open by itself then in the time it would take a person to walk from the kitchen to the living room the front door would open like someone was just walking out, when I would get onto the kids the phone would ring or things would literally fly across the room, the water would turn on in the bathroom full force while we were all down stairs, the cable box would just change channels like someone was holding the button down it would just scroll through really fast. I would have to unplug it to make it stop. , the lights would turn on and off, one time a light bulb exploded in one of the bedrooms, literally exploded like a bomb, windows would slam shut, things would disappear and later be found right out in the open where you couldn't miss them. When my oldest child was a baby she would follow something with her eyes and jabber and coo at it. My washing machine would turn itself on (it was in the basement). Mechanical toys would operate by themselves. People who came to visit saw these things happen.

Just before we moved we started seeing shadow people. We would see them flitting around corners or at the top or bottom of stairs, it was scary. A friend of mine was in the hospital having a baby and I was taking care of her two older children. I had her two kids and my two kids sleeping in my room and my husband was sleeping in my daughters room. I had a twin bed set up next to my bed and that is where her kids were sleeping, mine were in the bed with me. I started awake in the middle of the night and saw the form of a man standing next to my bed, there were street lights so it was never truly dark in the room and the "man" was just completely black no detail just the deepest black you can imagine. He just stood there between the beds and there was just this completely negative frightening feeling. I was afraid to move and I just layed there watching it, it was absolute terror. It seemed like it was there a long time but was probably maybe a minute then it just "flew" backwards really fast over the kids bed and sank into the wall. I jumped out of bed and went to my husband, he was convinced I was just having a really vivid nightmare. We didn't say anything to the children and when my friend got out of the hospital she came over to pick up her kids and show off the baby, we were sitting in the living room and the kids were playing in the dining room. I was telling her about it and her 3 year old got up and said very excited "I saw the monster too". Both myself and my friend got chills.

Anyway soon after, my dad got really sick so we put the house up for sale and moved to another state. The house was empty and a realtor was taking care of it til it sold. The kitchen sink was plugged and the water in the kitchen turned on full force and left for days. The water flooded the kitchen and basement. This was after we had been gone for a month. Anyway, that's my shadow people story.

NO! when in sleep paralysis when people say Jesus help me they are controlling their dream, ITS JUST A DREAM! your thoughts control your dreams. asking Obama please help me would do the exact same thing, your intent is to make the scary thing go away.

Here is the problem with that. My younger brother was asleep and I was awake and walked into his room and saw a shadow person hovering over his bed. So this experience was not anything to do with sleep paralysis.

However I do agree that his father's experience was more likely sleep paralysis as he was describing being paralyzed. The bed shaking is a bit suspicious however. I have had a sleep paralysis situation before. Beds do not shake. I would not consider it a shadow person incident but I have seen them hovering over beds as have other people. Others.

They also hang out around bathrooms.

Definetly not a sleep paralysis situation and there again we see two people who confirm the presence.

One theory is that shadow people or djinn feed off the fear or negativity that people may be going through.
