I especially like the very large, old trees ! They are wonderful at expressing their feelings. Once I was looking at a huge Oak tree and wondered if it was sad that it couldn't move from one place to the other. What I felt was that it was completely content to stand on its ancestors' foundations. WOW !!!!!! Also I noticed birds as well are very good at sensing what a humans intentions are. They kind of talk to me but not literally, when I'm in a spiritual mood I've had birds just sit and stare at me. Also I've had a bird I've never seen in my city before try to dive bomb me and circle me for 15 minutes. Natures cool. |

I would have a certain thought in my head and a big gush of wind would come through. Sometimes its a bird. Im not even a religious person or anything but it was so obvious and happened so often I couldn't ignore it. |

Twice I've gone to the same trail and been sitting on a log to find a black and white woodpecker land on a tree close by and get to work. It was like it was life's of teaching me the importance of being consistent with your work. The woodpecker worked very hard on that tree to get some food, and was not willing to leave it, even when I got very close. All of the beings in nature have something to teach us. |

Yea, I don't like people who think they are above nature and do not respect it. It is powerful and these days it is really teaching us lessons more and more. |

One time, one old group of trees disliked the trees in another group. Made me wary of where to put plants in my own garden. GLP is the only place where I could admit this. LOL Thanks OP. Scientists say they communicate with each other through their roots. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 38638284 United States 07/15/2013 11:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My daughter and I were on a road trip deep in the redland tree forest in Cali. Very remote. We decided to take a turn on a random dirt road just for the fun of it. The forest was so dense at this point, just gorgeous. We pulled to the side to go take a quick hike. My daughter is very intuitive and she saw this tree....well we saw this tree that was just magnificent and mighty, covered with moss. She was young, just 17, and just went up and hugged it. I made a joke that there are people that would call her a "tree hugger", we both laughed that we just didn't give a rat's ass what anyone thought. These trees were just works of art, each and every one. We hiked further into the forest and found a downed tree, which must have happened a long time ago, because it was very dug into the ground and grown over with forest brush. It was over a stream, and we decided to try to hike acorss it. It was big enough that we had room. As we were doing this, we heard someone say "hello!" Scared us to death because we were in the boonies, and I mean remote. We looked down, and there were some people who said, "Is that your white car back there?" We said yes, They said as they walked by it, they could hear a hissing sound from the tire. We went back to it, and sure enough, the tire was hissing air like crazy from a nail that we didn't know about. It took us a half hour to get to a town with a mechanic to get it patched. After we did that, we started talking about the whole incident, and what were the chances that someone in that remote area would have stopped like that, right next to our car. It probably doesn't sound like much, but I'm telling you, there was NO one around for miles, it was weird as hell to see another human being in that area. After we left that spot at around 7 pm, we were getting ready to go through a one lane, winding mountain pass with not even a turn out until getting to the other side of that mountain, and at night, with no street lights whatsoever. If those people didn't show up, there is every chance we would've had a blow out. We came to the conclusion, she loved that tree, and it made sure we were safe. I don't care what anyone else thinks, that's what happened. The trees felt the noise and made sure those people came by. |

It was two women, with a boy and a girl roughly 8 to 12 years old. Highly doubt we were getting close to anyone's "grow-op". You need sun to grow pot. Way too many trees. The only thing growing in these forests were very beautiful, huge trees, and mushrooms. Maybe a shroom grow-op, if anything, but I highly doubt it. It was something way beyond coincidence. Mock our "intuition" as much as you like, I don't care. The trees are far older and wiser than any of us can ever hope to be in this lifetime. To them, we're simply a motion blurred strip of light at best. We probably look or feel like Auroras to them. Pretty, yet somewhat inconsequential. Yet if an aurora stopped, and wrapped itself around you with love....you'd remember that moment your entire life. If you open your heart to them, they listen. And if YOU are good at listening, you'll hear them back. |
