Apocalyptic dream

I had a really bizarre and vivid dream last night that I can't shake out of my head.

We (my family and some other random people, including my deceased father) were going to catch a flight out of Philadelphia international to escape something. While packing, my now deceased father came in and said the airport had been "thermo'd" and I saw what looked like a nuclear blast destroying south Philadelphia. There was panic all around. Later, while in the house, a mother banged on the door and begged us to let Her infant child in. We said no, so she set it down and it crawled into the house very quickly. I tried to pick it up in an effort to get it out of the house but it kept biting me with sharp teeth. The mother was crying.

Later still, I am driving away from the house by myself. This is the part that really spooks me, because I dreamt almost the exact same thing a year or so ago...I am driving through the countryside when an open field comes into view with thousands and thousands of hospital type beds (empty beds) arranged in neat rows as far as the eye can see in every direction. I then arrive in a town that is almost identical to a town I lived in for a number of years - except that it is nearly deserted. Their are only a few people walking around, no cars. Some are wearing gas masks, others are wearing full on "space suit" outfits like those worn in infectious disease labs. One of the space suit wearers sees me without any protective gear and screams then runs away. I woke up at that point.

This was one of the creepiest dream I've ever had, and I have a lot of creepy dreams.
