Syria War Petitions on Whitehouse.gov
I just started a petition at Whitehouse.gov to switch sides and support Assad instead of the rebels.

Find it here:

I also signed the No to War in Syria petition.

Yes, I know they wrote my name down for elimination or some other blather so skip telling me that. They already had my name when I wrote my Senator and Congressman.

The Congress Con starts tomorrow. Time to let them know we don't agree.

Um....that is awesome, and a good idea to some small degree, except for one huge bulging issue. It means nothing because they signatures won't be submitted until the end of September and early October. We will be in the midst of Syria and out by then.

You don't really think submission of the petition means anything to them? It is the idea that people are awake, aware, and watching that freaks them out. I could care less if the Whitehouse ever answers. I do care that they know I am watching and action on how I feel about this issue.

Re: Syria War Petitions on Whitehouse.gov
To be honest, with you, no, they don't listen. The PR department will issue a letter in reply if you should happen to get enough signatures. There was a petition on there for Texas to succede. They had WAY more than enough signatures, and all that happened was a letter from the PR department. Nothing else. It's a waste of time, honestly. Petitions mean something to those that sign them....they mean nothing to the real world. Civil disobedience protests mean something...stopping anything from happening is all that works. Blockades work. Petitions do nothing.

They know people are watching, and they know what is freaking you out, and they also know HOW MANY people are watching and freaking out, and how many AREN'T. They don't need a petition to figure that out. Please remember this is the largest funded organization next to the Vatican in the world. They know and study this shit on an hourly basis, and they know all they need to.

What YOU don't know is that they are already a year ahead of you.

I am not shitting on your shoe, but I am just saying really be objective with the function. I wish that there was a way to get the people on the petition to then take the next step and protest at sea ports, or airports, or infront of army and military bases, or the contractors. 800,000 people all sitting and blockading a petrol port or army base would wake EVERYONE one...meaning the WORLD. The Arab spring didn't have any effect and there were no petitions....it was civil disobedience and strangling protests in the capitol. Nothing could get done. No one worked, no one shopped...it was non-stop protests. That caused a change. A petition won't.

Thanks for your comments. While 90+% are against war on Syria, they are still debating the wrong questions.
By debating yes/no they are consenting to many wrong assumptions about what is going on over there. If we can get the debate changed to which side should we support we will be able to get these wrong assumptions questioned.

You many not like that I am doing this, but telling me it is useless to do will only bump me up the page.
