Sometimes I have CNN on in the background for a bit. They did a story on the Oklahoma earthquakes. I didn't catch it all, but they talked about for like 4 min and an interview. I was hoping it was the web site. It might be later.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll listen later and see if they show it again.

This is 2 days old. But this morning they didn't mention much about fracking. They were just comparing OK to CA.

I figured you would be exhausted! That is weird...

I back in the day termed "ping pong effect" and now am seeing this pattern again... and I can't help but see it bounce around these areas and note it... seems innocent enough in small mags, but it is reoccurring, a constant motion...
With increasing in intensity from 2's to 3's to 4's and 5's now...
And then that bell pops up in my head... like a bell ringing... some of the patterns...

Just saying... ha, maybe I do need some sleep but it aint happenin! :)

My grams passed back in April. My gramps and Aunt have been going through a lot of stuff. She was sorta a hoarder. Not like what you see on that A&E show. Then again my gramps did find stacks of paperwork all way back to the 70's. How she had some savings bonds that my uncle had bought my in 1984, we don't know. Never knew my uncle, he died when I was like 4 or 5. Anyways, I looked them up and I guess they are worth a bit more then the $50 face value. Kind of want to keep them for a few years. But then again, thinking about cashing them in just to have it over with. While I can. LOL

So, I told you all of that to ask this, are they really more then face value? I always thought they just matured to the face value over a few years. From what I can find, issue date Oct. 1984 Series EE $50 bond is worth $113.06

The bonds are weird. It's printed on like 100lb stock paper, very large and Roosevelt's bust is on it and to the left is old school cut out code. If that makes sense? Other then that, there is no water mark or ny kinds of security. Times have changed. It just had my first and last name, so I'm kinda worried I migh have trouble. I doubt he knew my middle name at the time thought.

The value does increase in savings bonds over years. It's not even worth the $50 value for a bit. I believe a $50 bond costs like $25 to purchase. The longer you keep it, the more the value will be.....however, these days, I would probably just cash them now. Seriously.

Okay, this is just strange. I looked back through the thread and couldn't find it so I figured I forgot to post it after watching it. I checked my YouTube history and....nothing. I also cannot find the video now when trying to search for it.
