38 minutes late: Report reveals firefighters delayed response to deadly Odessa blaze


Despite desperate calls from witnesses, Odessa fire brigades came to the scene of the notorious Trade Unions House blaze only 38 minutes after it was reported, leaked transcripts of emergency calls show. The fire claimed the lives of 48 people in May.

The leaked transcripts involve calls which local emergency services reportedly received on the evening of May 2.

The fire began after violent clashes erupted between rival rallies of anti-government protesters and radicals supporting the Maidan-imposed authorities in Kiev. Tires, a protesters' tent camp and the Trade Unions House – which had anti-Kiev activists inside – were set ablaze.

According to documents obtained by Odessa news website dumskaya.net, the first calls from activists were received at 7:31 p.m. local time.

“Rescue service 101,” a dispatcher answered.

I need some help with a scavenger hunt list for my sister's bachelorette party tomorrow. I've been looking online and am pretty much horrified at the pre-made lists! Lol, I don't know, I just can't imagine doing most of the things I'm seeing.

Trying to come up with 20 things/situations/people that we will need to get a picture of or with. I have 16 so far.

This isn't your typical bachelorette party. We are going to a country music concert and the scavenger hunt will take place while we are tail gating prior to the start of the concert.

I am not interested in giving a lap dance to a stranger or receiving one or doing anything of that nature. That's not my sister's style either so I'm not being the fun police, just trying to keep things respectful and...clean. My mom and the groom's mom will also be a part of this, although they are probably the craziest of the group, lol.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

I don't know, I just don't want much physical contact with a stranger. I am also very different from everyone else that will be participating (hence why I am making the list, lol).

Once I have the list complete I will share it. I could keep it at 16, but wanted 20. No big deal though. : )

It can have a few "dirty" things on it as I plan to do this as teams of 2. One person has to get the picture while the other is performing the task. Anything out of my range I can have my partner do and I will take the picture.
