Just kept waking up. Then woke up like death warmed over.

We broke our record high yesterday at 87F. Today will be 74. Our normal temps? 64 for the high and 38 for the low yet we are still in the high 40's and low 50's.

Looks like El Nino for us this time will be little moisture and warmer than normal even if they were forecasting just the opposite.

I would love to see snow!!!!!!!!!!

A reminder that a geomagnetic storm watch is in effect for the next 24-48 hours. A high speed solar wind stream flowing from a large high solar latitude coronal hole is expected to become geoeffective. Sky watchers on Earth at higher latitudes should be alert for visible aurora displays.

Sorry you guys are having a rough AM!! My hours are totally messed up-which isn't THAT unusual-but a pain in the ass when I have things to do and can't catch-up on sleep!! I'd actually gotten my hours back to "normal", actually slept for 5 hours before I went in for the procedure Wed AM; THEN, went to the hospital at about 11:30am, still groggy from anesthesia PLUS the cardiac meds they gave me, slept till about 6PM & was up all night. And my hours have been the same since-sleeping during the day, up most of the night. I TRIED to stay up yesterday, but fell asleep around 5pm & slept till my furry lil brat woke me up about 2AM, patting my face & giving me kisses, lol!! She hadn't gotten dinner-at LEAST she was a sweetheart about it!! ;) I was going to try & take a nap this AM before going in at 2, (my Leela's been cuddled up to my back as I lay here reading & typing); but my phone keeps ringing AND I'm nauseas as heck every time I sit or stand. They'd been giving me Zofran every 3-4 hours in the hospital, (apparently, my ulcer is "angry"-that's how he described it); but I had to wean off it because Medicare wouldn't approve another script for it. Because of all these tests & being in the hospital, they assigned me another caseworker (for those of us with chronic illnesses) and she's going to TRY & get my little "miracle pills" pushed through today.

Anyways-WA, maybe you can take a nap today? With such weird, intermittent sleep, I've come to cherish 1-2 hour naps!! How are your dental appts going? Have you had surgery yet?

Simple-hope you have an easy day at work today!! Maybe an early night tonight?!! I look back at the DAYS I'd go without sleep when I was in my 30's, (Med School + Work + Kids) & have NO idea how the heck I functioned!! What I wouldn't give for just a fraction of the energy I used to have!!

Anyways, I'm going to go try & fix some oatmeal-see if that will calm my tummy down. I screwed up last night, was SO tired of this bland diet-had a huge salad and some fresh oranges a friend sent from So. Florida-WAY too much acid!! 'Twas worth it though, lol!!
I'm all about QUALITY of life these days-with everything going on. It's hard to be "cheerful" and optimistic on a diet of oatmeal, plain rice/noodles/toast & plain legumes/beans!! ;) I'm thinking of stopping for a slice of pizza this afternoon after the blood draw & Doctor.... ;) ssshhhh..... ;)

Since reliable record-keeping began in the late 1960s, never has there been as many tropical systems in the Central Pacific in a given year. The previous highest tally was 11 during the years 1992 and 1994.
