Well, I can say I have to self-correct myself about Matthew not being a big problem for Haiti or FLorida. I pass the day seeing a lot of videos from Colombia/Venezuela coastal erosion and even destruction and couple of deaths. This is a MONSTER. Yesterday night when it reach cat 5 people here were discussing about it looks like it has two eyes or centers, like if the hurricane split in two. That usually happens when a hurricane is a pretty bad-ass one.

I can't imagine yet the potential of destructive force this thing carry within himself. Hurricane is big enough - storm winds/rain extend 200 miles!!! I saw one reporter on Cuba saying 3/4 part of Cuba could be experiencing this storm, that there is a false notion that the destruction would be only in 1/4 of their territory, but because this hurricane is so big its better to say entire Haiti and half Cuba will be pounded. Current conditions are very very favorable to redeveloping and isntesification when it arrives to the Bahamas. All forecast and tracking charts now reveal a M = Major once it arrive to the east of Florida.

And let me tell you this: If you analize weather maps and listen to experts there are two weather systems that will concurr with Matthew in the next week. One is a big low centered near chicago and Indianapolis its moving southeast:

ANd there is another system, High pressure growing down from Boston and New York, that would grow enough to serve as a block for the hurricane to neither go to the ocean and dissipate neither go to New York or upper East Coast States.

The combination of these 3 systems will make an scenario worse than Hurricane Sandy. Because it is like receiving an major hurricane on Virginia/Maryland, that will stall there and no dissipate so easy, because it will be still feeding energy ffrom one system while the other don't let him go. I can assure you if everything develops exactly as some forecasters say, it will be an historic flooding, unprecedented in Virginia/Maryland/Washighton DC. Not counting the havoc Matthew will make on all of the coastal infrastructure from Florida to North Carolina. Not counting the wind-related destruction, which can be scary in some places. But waves and rain it will be the scariest of all.

I'm not a meterologist but I assume Matthew will bring around 40 inches of rain in Washington DC, EACH DAY, and it will not dissipate quickly as usual, it will take some days. This will be a Flooding Catastrophe to the damned State Matthew decide to visit, whatever State he choose.
