Thank you all for the birthday wishes. You are awesome people To be honest, I really don't care much about birthdays (especially my own.)

*cracking voice* Age is but a number. Okay, at one point that statement is rudely kicked in the ass by one look at the help you ordered at H.T.E.I.U (Hire a Typist for the Elderly Internet User), but it is how I see it. I often tell the people I work with: "Your heart says AC/DC, but your hair says Meals on Wheels."

Always let your heart prevail. It is what you carry inside and how you look at the world that really defines your life and what age you really are. I just always want people to be safe, get along and be recognised.

I also realise myself that is not always possible. Sometimes life gets in the way. Sad stuff, mad stuff, silly stuff, causing heartache, silence, distance. And trust me, I am not a positive tard 24/7. My God, I would drive myself crazy, lol. But it has never kept me from trying to bring the sun out, catch a smile here and there and break tense situations by putting things in perspective, with a smile a joke or whatever.

Anyway, my H.T.E.I.U typist (a beautiful 20 yr old college student with 300 hits per minute, costs $20 per half hour) says her contract states she is entitled to a five minute break every hour, so I will shut up. You are all beautiful.

Drinks are on me this weekend!

One person reported to WMTW News 8, "It didn't feel very minor to me. My whole house shook and it sounded like an explosion. My first thought was all the aircraft in the area for air show."

Thanks CS. And Big D. I will be ok. I'm actually feeling fairly calm about it all. And I already have an interview next Friday, plus another solid lead if that doesn't work out. It's a P/T position, but would at least fill the void, and it's a position they want to make F/T (I have reason to believe this, it's not just talk). I have a past connection to this place and I know I would enjoy the work and their mission. It's a bump up in responsibility, which is what I've been looking for. If it has to start out P/T, so be it. One reason I've been willing to do the 2 part time job thing is because I've been in so many shitty situations that I'd rather work two P/T jobs I like and pay well vs. 1 F/T job I hate that pays shitty. I give up benefits doing that, but perhaps that plan will ultimately pay off. That's been my hope since I went that route.

I've been nerding out on it literally ALL night lol. Hence my absence here.

And thank you again for the sweet posts my friends. To end the Adventures with my H.T.E.I.U student, the night ended hectic, with her filing a complaint against me for keyboard harassment at the Association against Student Slavery and Harassment of Outworkers Loving the Elderly (A.S.S.H.O.L.E.) Man, you just can't make this shit up, oh wait.. I just did.

Anyway, she argued I talked faster than she could type and that she was hired for 300 contractual hits per minute max and not the 307.3 she was doing the past six minutes. I called her snowflake, she called me old fart and things escalated from there. Like I said, the night ended hectic. It just proofs that, even at my age, looks and curves are not everything.
