The Mount Washington Observatory in New Hampshire recorded 130 mph winds near the top of the tower early Monday morning.
Padham went on to say that they use specialized charts for backup to measure the strong winds. He says that if they expect winds to get near 140 mph, they activate the Barton Chart, which is said to be able to go up to 285 mph.

hello peeps! It's The Deplorable ScarlettRedfern here from NH!Entiretown and almost all surrounding towns are without power. It is so bad here that we might not get our power back for several days. I am using hubby's work phone as it has WiFi. All I can say 8s thank God for generators and woodstoves!

How did you fare last night, Simple? I hope you're all ok. Neighbors next door lost 8 trees, scared the beJesus out of me, as I heard several cracks then a loud crashthat shook our house. I thought eitherour top floor got hit or one of our cars. luckily it was the neighbor's she'd that was hit. I feel so bad for them, their yard is a complete mess. otherwise we are all good! Don't ever underestimate the power of 60 mph winds! parts of our street is closed along with many others. Believeit or not they had to use several snow plows to remove the debris from all the fallen branches!
