Growing up with an abusive alcoholic father turned me off all booze and then both my brothers became alcoholics and knew I made the right choice. I am from my mom's first marriage and my brothers are half so I figure it came from their dad. My hubby actually included in his vows to me that he wouldn't drink unless I knew about it and never over 2-3 drinks. He knew I had a major problem with it. Not a teetotaler, as I do like a drink from time to time. He mentioned on a talk show a while back that he hated watching how his mothers health and mind declined in her last years and that he was facing the same kind of exit.
