Zeke38 User ID: 77052010 United States 10/22/2018 03:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sketchy! For sure... Thread: DOOM ON!!! M6.6, M6.8,M6.5 EQ's West Coast USA PLATE SHIFTING RIGHT NOW!!! What I am surprised about, with all the quakes we have had this past year, nothing major on the West Coast. Most have been off coast but nothing on the land. Been years since California has seen a large quake. The longer that takes to pop, the bigger it's gonna be. Indeed! I grew up in SoCal and I admit that I enjoyed the occasional quakes which were definitely more frequent. My favorite would have been the Whittier Narrows quake in '87 when I was a lad. My folks' house was near the Yorba Linda end of the fault. I was in my upstairs room putting on socks when it hit. It sounded like someone had taken a jackhammer to the foundation. Plaster popped off the walls and items on shelves bounced off. I hightailed it down the hall toward the stairs. It was like a funhouse attraction where they have the moving floor/stairs. Each step was out of synch with the location of the floor and walls. I rounded the bend and I think it took about three steps to make it down 20 or so stairs as I was in pure flight. Terrifying, yet exciting at the same time. And I don't even like roller coasters. “And he brought them out and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.'" Acts 16:30-31 |
