In brighter news, our tree is up! I just have to go dig up whatever decorations/lights that weren't damaged in the August flood. I kept most of my Christmas decor up on shelves down there, so hoping it won't be so bad. : )

My Neurosurgeon is like that...he is in his 50s, but to look at him you'd think late 20s, early 30s tops.

Just a word about the nic patches - they work IF one is highly addicted to the nicotine. Me personally, I wasn't able to ever quit smoking because I was addicted to the ACT of smoking. You know that feeling you get when you sit back and puff on a cigarette? If he is addicted to the ACT, he will need the JUUL, that is why I was able to quit once and for all!!!!!

Went to see my cardiologist today. She is NOT happy with the pulmonologist that I have been seeing and put in a referral to National Jewish Hospital, which is the leading lung hospital in the country. She said she believes something else is going on besides the asthma. Possibly lung/heart related. She wanted to know if the other doc had even mentioned how much weight I have been packing on and I told her only a little.

For once, someone actually listened to me and agreed something else was going on and agrees it is serious that in one year I have added 30 pounds of weight, have
de-conditioned at least 50%, and can't walk very far at all without shortness of breath and wheezing. I asked if it was heart failure and she said she doesn't think so, at least not at this point but could be leading there if things don't change quickly. Changed my heart meds and put me on a water pill.

Amazing what happens when a doctor actually listens to a patient.
