Anonymous Coward User ID: 72791376 United States 01/16/2019 09:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OMG I cannot mentally deal with these multiple days of rain in a row. OMG I can't deal with it physically either. I'm exhausted everywhere. It also didn't help that I was up from 9:00 pm - 3:00 am last night either HAH. Anyway. Finally have that last SATA Power extension cable I need to install the blu ray burner. Then I can finally install Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and it's off to the races. Yippeeeeeee. But first, I need one more two hour nap before I begin work. |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 40488826 United States 01/17/2019 01:13 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I ended up emailing Nef's thoracic surgeon on Monday asking about the pulmonary consultation recommended by the radiologist who wrote the CT scan report. Letting him know that, no thanks to him (the ordering physician), we reviewed the report of the results online. Also told him that Nef had called his primary doctor about a referral to pulmonary, but they suggested he contact the doctor who ordered the imaging. Like wtf?! The results are grim no matter which way you damn spin it, and these incompetent doctors are dragging their damn feet! There is NO excuse for ME having to reach out to them before THEY reached out to HIM regarding the results! Whatever, GRRRR, moving along…so I emailed the thoracic surgeon Monday morning regarding the results and that we’re concerned, yada yada. My main points in the email were the incidental lung findings, but I also questioned the results of his heart/arteries, which was the purpose of the scan. The scan was for his surgeon to be able to determine whether or not he is a candidate for bypass surgery. He told me that he thinks he will be able to offer the bypass surgery but we should first wait for the input from the pulmonologist (which he would make the referral for). This, in and of itself, isn’t a positive thing to hear. AKA, we now have bigger problems on our hands than the whole heart/bypass surgery stuff and need to address these new issues first. He was contacted on Tuesday to schedule the pulmonary consultation. Appointment scheduled for February 14th!!! I was fucking horrified when he told me the appointment was a month from now. Naturally I’m taking all of this a lot harder than he is and a month from now was NOT acceptable to me! I called the pulmonary office today and politely (yet firmly) expressed my concerns for the reasons he is being referred and that a month from now is too long to have a consultation that will just turn into another scheduled appointment for testing or further scans another month away from that and so on! Just no! I’m not just gonna sit back and let this shit grow inside of him. WTF! Ugh. I’m so overwhelmed. Anyway, I was miraculously able to get his February 14th appointment rescheduled for THIS Friday! Thank God. The amount and range of emotions I’m experiencing are nauseating. I’m gonna have a real hard time having no control over this. And also knowing that mini is gonna have to witness all of this firsthand. Whatever the diagnosis will be, it’s not gonna be good/relieving. He’s got multiple life-shortening chronic diseases as of right now. Minus the upcoming lung diagnosis. If all is what I fear and believe, I will likely make a new/separate thread about it, and the journey, as to not bombard this thread with all of the details. Until those fears are confirmed, I would like to keep my postings about it here and/or on the prayer thread. I had him go to the records department today at the hospital he had the CT scan done to request a CD of the images from the scan so we have those if a second opinion ends up being needed. Just venting some. Thinking out loud. Panicking on the inside. I would never talk like this if I wasn't certain. I posted the concerning parts of the lung results. Google has all of the medical research/documents/doom-related confirmations. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72791376 United States 01/17/2019 06:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OMG. Helloooooo Windows. My new setup blows away my old Dell that died. Downloads are hella faster, etc. etc. Installing drivers, software, and all that shit tonight. So excited that I went with AMD this round. If it weren't for the SATA power cable extension I needed, and Amazon dragging their stupid feet and lying all day Saturday about a delivery that never came, I would have had it all done by Sunday evening. Oh, well. It's done now, and that's what matters. Not a bad turnaround time for my first self-built computer in a while. I am thoroughly looking forward to this weekend and ditching my 4GB of RAM POS laptop. It's been fine for the interim, but it IS starting to wear on me. I am NOT a 4GB of RAM kind of guy. |
