Unfortunately I got a phone call about it this afternoon. Even though the department manager was extremely positive last week, they have internally decided to wait a while and first fill the position through re-balancing the workload. Hmmm, where did we hear that before (Sim?)

So it's back to the drawing board. I still have a few applications outstanding, but it is a difficult field to get a job in. To give an example: I applied for a job of Supply Chain coordinator last week and 36 hours later there were already 70 applicants..



I am not worried though, I still got plenty of time. It gives me the opportunity to annoy you more with my creative thinking.

On a brighter note, my brother was finally approved for the nursing home today, with full care. He gets an furnished appartement there. So that is one less worry. And that means i can also spend some time for him to get settled, cancel his old appartement and all the paper work done.

So this day whose name shall not be mentioned, still ended quite well. More bright news to come.. no doubt about it!

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...

North central Terrebonne Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

Northwestern Lafourche Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until noon CDT.

* At 1129 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a

tornado was located over Schriever, or near Thibodaux, moving

northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without

shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.

Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree

damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Yes, I'm all too familiar with that re-balancing workload crap. Just means more work on those who are already working there, and probably isn't the first time that company made such an 'internal decision'. Pffftt. Good ridden. The employees are likely overworked there. No bueno.

And just look at that...everything happens (and doesn't happen) for a reason. Now you're available to help your brother during a very difficult time for him. He needs you right now and you're available to be there for him. : )
