KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 12/11/2019 07:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I may need to go back to the endocrinologist. I got cleared in that department a couple of years ago, but I wasn't noticing hair loss at that time. Quoting: Simple27 I do believe it's all stress-related. All of this nonsense with my body/system/etc. I just need an answer to my blood levels, which no doctor has yet been able to give. Something consistently raises my hemoglobin and hematocrit. For years now, and no one can tell me why or how to control it. Super frustrating because when they get too high, I feel like complete shit. I had stress related hair loss once, when I lost my mom. That whole month prior to her death was so stressful. I also had gone off the pill about a month prior to that, and that can cause it (hormonal). However, I saw 3 doctors about the hair loss over time- a general practitioner, a gynecologist, and a dermatologist, and they all told me confidently it was the stress. And I tend to believe them. That was the most stress and anxiety I've felt in my life, and that was a lesson at just how impactful stress is on our bodies. And my hair never went back to 100%. It's much better than when it happened, but it just never got back the same volume. I was told that it might never go back to normal - your growth phase can be disrupted to the extent it never gets back on track. |

If anything can cause such a disruption to our bodies, the loss of a mother would. Unimaginable to me, and I have so much respect for you and all who have unfortunately already had to experience such a loss. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
