I’m freaked out after reading all this and seeing the videos I don’t even want to work I'm 100% feeling the same way. I can't focus on work crap right now at all. My son is scheduled to fly back to Shanghai next week (studying abroad). So I'm following the news closely. They haven't cancelled classes but some of the International students who haven't returned yet are thinking about taking the semester off. Oh lord Zeke, I wish he wouldn't go. Hey Sim and KI! He's definitely considering staying here in the states. In the event he does fly back, I've ordered some colloidal silver spray and N95 masks. Unfortunately, there aren't alot of eating options there so everyone ends up ordering delivery to the dorms. But you don't know who's been coughing over your food or what the prep conditions are at these places. I don't think they have much (if any) food safety regulation. “And he brought them out and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 01/23/2020 07:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hope no one has posted on this. This is the first I'm reading of it. Burst of Gravitational Waves Hit Earth But Scientists Don’t Know Where It’s Coming From On January 14, astronomers detected a split-second burst of gravitational waves … but researchers don’t know where this burst came from. Gravitational waves can be caused by the collision of massive objects, such as two black holes or two neutron stars as shown in a new scientific publication. However, these impact-generated bursts are typically longer and occur as a series of waves that change in frequency over time. In contrast, the new signal is a burst and not a series of waves. It’s also possible that this signal was just noise in the data from the detector. However, this burst of gravitational waves was found by all three LIGO detectors: one in Washington state, one in Louisiana and one in Italy. So it’s a genuine signal. [link to strangesounds.org (secure)] In addition to this, on the website's FB page for this event I noticed this comment: "What I caught on Allsky at time of wave hit" (video). Went back looking for the posts about the KS legislators being taken - without advance warning - to a briefing by DHS. It was mentioned by Arnie or someone about the time that the big EQ hit Hutchinson. But what if it wasn't about the EQ - it was a briefing about what was coming down the road with the virus?? It was already active in Wuhan about that time, but hadn't made the news here. Someone said that it would be interesting to know if the leaders of other states had been pulled in for an emergency briefing. I'd bet that they did a better job of not broadcasting what was going on in other states. I'm not sure I would even begin to know how to search for that kind of information, but it sure makes you wonder. Our gov't keeps such a close eye on everything related to China, I can't help but believe our intel would have seen this happening last week. Makes sense tht if the feds are considering some kind of containment - restrictions on travel, gatherings, etc - that they would be contacting state leadership in advance. Oh well, I may just be reaching...I'm a died-in-the-wool conspiracy theory person. TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch |

St. Louis is unique in that we have a ton of major attractions that are all free. Zoo, art museum, history museum, Arch (and museum), etc... It's a wonderful thing, and very rare. It allows people of all income levels to experience awesome stuff! Even at the art museum they have Free Fridays all day/night, which means you don't have to pay for the special exhibit. I've seen some great ones, and always for free! |

All the way back to early January, becasue this mess has been cranking up in Wuhan since in December!!! Guarantee that DHS has been active to prepare for whatever pandemic precautions have to be taken. So how do they take steps to isolate possible patients when they are now admitting that some of the Chinese patients didn't even show fever??? That's what they are checking for at the 5 US airports that have lots of incoming flights from China. But not everyone infected will have fever...so they HAVE to know that LOTS of infected people are going to make it off the planes. And they are very contagious, even without symptoms. You can bet that DHS has plans in place already. Guaranteed. TANSTAAFL - There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch |
