Well, I assume you might be talking about those root vegetables at the top of the photo. I'm not sure what those are. The one on the upper right is throwing me off - it's so smooth it almost looks potato-like. I don't think it's jicama or celery root due to the smooth skin. Might be a rutabaga or a turnip. Most turnips you find are half purple and half white, but there are turnips that are all white. The purple one in the upper left looks like a giant beet. Not sure what else would be that color other than a beet.

Whether or not you figure it out, all root vegetables are always good to try roasted. There are some root vegetables I don't particularly like unless they are roasted. Just cut them into cubes, drizzle a bit of olive oil and salt and pop it in the oven on higher heat.

I think the one is a BIG red beet. The other one, after some searching, I think is a Jicama...that one is new to us so we'll have to figure out what to do with it.

I'm not a big cuke fan, so my lovely wife is going to trade it for a butternut squish with a lady form work because she LOVES them.

The other thing I'm hunting is the leaves in the bag. I think maybe Romanesco leaves, but I'm still looking.

You are right, roasted is probably the best way to go for a first taste.

Yes, keep recording and posting and don't let the assholes get you down, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there with your same hobby who would like to see your gemstones. There were a few jerks on your thread yesterday as well, I noticed. If people aren't interested, they why comment? Are they so miserable that they have to rope everyone else into their misery? I have never seen so much hate and ignorance in my life as I see today, and it seems to get worse on a daily basis. People have become completely intolerant of anyone different from themselves, even when it comes to something as simple as a goddamn hobby. I appreciate you Pillar, you will always have a friend in me.
