yes, we're thriving very well, thank you ... "wounds" from several years ago are healing slowly.. my little princess helped me recover ;)
I'm doing my best to 'return' a little and even post threads like I'm used to.. (the 'takeover' pulled me to GLP) but I also feel bad when I haven't read many pages because of absence and missed their posts about how hard life can be sometimes, after I post an earthquake without replying to them, like I'm sort of a b*tch without empathy, if you know what I mean .. I should take the time to read more.



@Simple27 good to hear that your parents were tested 'negative', I feel sorry to hear about your sister , is the baby tested as well ?

That really warms my heart to hear you feel you are healing old wounds. I'm so happy to hear this.

Don't feel bad if you just post some quakes and leave. We all do that at times and no one thinks anything of it. Has nothing to do with lack of empathy or caring, some days are just busy!

I like that link too, especially when a quake is deleted- I can almost always find it there. There are some locations, such as New Zealand, that for whatever reason we don't see all their quakes on either EMSC or USGS - but Volcano Discovery will have them. The only potential downside is that they do post from multiple sources, so you have to look carefully to realize they aren't all separate quakes, just separate listings.

Yes, busy times, our house (rented) is being renovated these weeks, so it's a total mess here as well :)

Awe, big hugs to you AoS! You're a busy mama and no one thinks that about you when you're able to check in. Always happy to hear you and your family are doing well. :)

Yes the baby was tested this past Saturday but his results take longer to come back (5-7 days) so we're still waiting.

I'm praying that your whole family will be fine soon. I remember the times that I was looking at the world "from above" every day, like I wasn't participating myself with these experiences called "life", just always looking at the bigger picture..... till I'd fallen to the ground with personal drama. Suddenly I realized that me, myself and I and my family was a part of this world too.

Mini and I got tested today. I wasn't supposed to be part of that plan but after mini sat in her car in line for FOUR HOURS she had to use the bathroom. Luckily testing is done right across the street so when she got near our house she jumped out of her car to run inside quickly. I ran out and took her place in her car in case the line started moving again. It did, and by the time she got back we had moved along so much that I decided to stay with her instead of walking back in the cold. I wasn't dressed for all that lol. Another hour and a half later, we both got the test. Results in 1-3 days.

This thread is so underrated, it isn't just an EQ thread, it has a great vibe to it, without conflicts and only nice people.

So our forecast called for 1-2 inches of snow. We all rolled our eyes as we have been so dry, we knew it meant a dusting of dry powder at most.

Around 1 am I heard the rain start and looked out to enjoy!

At 1:15 am it was silent and I looked out again. It was snowing very heavy.

Went to bed at 3 but checked and we had about 3 inches of snow.
Woke up about 6:30am to use the bathroom and checked again.
6" of snow and still snowing but only light.

Hubby said there was a good 7-8" when he went out to shovel and said it was very heavy snow. We got just under an inch of moisture that we desperately needed
