The Champlain Towers South Condominiums were built in 1981. The construction style is concrete block. Champlain Towers South contained 135 units. In earlier reports, Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava reported about half of the 130+ units in the building were affected by the condo collapse.
