The phone alert that went out was "IU Bloomington Alert! An armed individual is at large on the BL campus. Take safe shelter. Lock door. Follow instructions from authorities."
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12412937 I can understand being cautious but it was at the top of the news on CNN. Seems a bit much for a drunk Sophomore that got into a fight. It does seem to be a bit much. I especially like that part about "Follow instructions from authorities."
However I am told that not long ago they had a guy randomly attacking people on the street with a knife and several people got hurt. So that was their supposed reason for the "lockdown" Think these will come into play soon? Thread: POLICE STATE: Ohio State University Now Has an Armored Fighting Vehicle, MRAP I would not be surprised, Bloomington not being much like the rest of the state I could see this happening there.
