Hartford Courant: Sandy Hook report delay smacks of cover-up
"After this much valuable time has passed, the whole thing starts to smack of a cover-up, but of what? Is he taking orders from someone higher up? Are first responders embarrassed by their actions early on in the attack? "

Re: Hartford Courant: Sandy Hook report delay smacks of cover-up
Little by little, the media is waking up.

The spectacle of the ghoulish conspiracy theorist is fading, replaced by guys in suits with big pens.

Soon the very same pens who said Americans were "ghouls" to ask questions will be making money off those very questions (already happening).

But that's okay by me. As long as those pens start writing the truth.

Remember Stebbins - the one who leaked the "Adam Lanza had a spreadsheet" tidbit?

CT State Police Dispatch Consolidation a Fiasco? Claims of 9-1-1 Calls Placed on Hold...

The controversial plan that has consolidated CT State Police dispatch units in western Connecticut to a centralized area continues to have problems...

Sgt. Andrew Matthews, president of the state police union, says radio transmissions from state police in the field are going unanswered as dispatchers focus on 9-1-1 calls.

Sgt. Matthews: “9-1-1 calls are being put on hold.”
Sgt. Matthews:”The number of dispatchers went from six to four in order to save money, but now there is an additional sergeant and a dramatic increase in overtime paid to transport prisoners from the troops, where there isn’t anyone to watch them anymore. This is costing a lot more than leaving things the way they were.”
Lt. J. Paul Vance, CT State Police spokesman: admits placing a sergeant on duty is costly but temporary. “No, it wasn’t part of the original plan, but we are in uncharted territory.”
Norfolk First Seletman Susan Dyer: ” If it’s (the plan) not working, then admit to it and go back to what you know.”

Last week, the union overwhelmingly passed a no-confidence vote in CT State Police brass, but Gov. Dannel P. Malloy says he backs Commissioner Reuben Bradford, Col. Danny Stebbins, and their consolidation plan...

Re: Hartford Courant: Sandy Hook report delay smacks of cover-up
So in the months leading up to Sandy Hook, there just happens to be a vicious battle going on, pitting unionized state troopers against their bosses and Malloy.

The fight is over dispatch consolidation: troopers and their union claim consolidation is extremely dangerous, and that 911 calls are going unanswered. In fact, at least one death of a civilian, and one serious injury of a trooper were said to be a direct result of consolidation.

But Malloy, Stebbins, Vance, and other bosses were adamant: consolidation is completely safe. We're replacing you troopers with civilians. They can do the job just as well as you. There are no 911 system problems. None. The public's lives are not in danger over dispatch consolidation; in fact, you troopers are making up this nonsense to use as a bargaining tool in labor disputes.

"The state police union has had some of the rockiest relations with the Malloy administration, fighting concessions last summer and objecting to elimination of guaranteed staffing levels in state law, a battle lost in the legislature.

Malloy said he has complete confidence in the two leaders: Reuben F. Bradford, the commissioner of emergency services and public protection; and Col. Danny R. Stebbins, the highest-ranking uniformed officer.

"I just want to be very clear: I have the highest regard for the commissioner and the colonel. I think they are doing an absolutley outstanding job, and they have my confidence," Malloy said.

The union said there were 752 votes of no confidence against Bradford and 760 against Stebbins. Of the 1,016 unionized troopers, sergeants and master sergeants, 794 ballots were validated and counted.

"Unfortunately, the commissioner and colonel have ignored the union membership, refused to communicate with union leadership, and have failed to consider the invaluable experience and knowledge of our membership," said Sgt. Andrew Matthews, the union president.

He said the rank and file could have helped develop policies that would "have ensured that the quality of public safety is not diminished during these difficult financial times."

Did a few in the rank and file--off duty SWAT officers?--decide to do what it took to prove that they were right, that consolidation was dangerous to the public?

The cover up is the Adam Lanza didn't do it.

Guy hasn't seen his brother "in years", yet is in possession of his ID.

Mom works at the school as a teacher, then she doesn't. Mom works at the school, but as a teacher's aide, then she doesn't. Mom used to work at the school as a teacher/teacher's aide, no wait she never did.

Dad just happens to work in General Electric's global finance division. Town itself just happens to be crawling with General Electric employees.

Newtown just happened to be the recipient of millions upon millions of dollars in DHS/FEMA infrastructure grant money in the years preceding this event.

Top witness Gene Rosen just happens to be a jew and a member of the Screen Actor's Guild.

A lot of the police looked as if they were being "escorted" to the scene that day.
