Re: So what your insurance policy going to cost. You don't need to sign up or in to see!
I have always had difficulties with insurance. One kid born with a congenital problem which required several surgeries and loads of orthodontics and then a several other surgeries for me.

So I'm used to fighting insurance companies for coverage.

I used to be able to win often. No longer. For the past many years, we lose.

So I quit the fuckin insurance. Took the 1,000. per month and tucked it away.

Now, last week I had a procedure done. Cost: 2,800., straight out of my pocket. Insurance wouldn't have covered it anyway.

Savings for the year: 9,200.00

I know, we coulda been in an accident, all kinds of hell could have broken out. But I'm sick of paying every damn dollar to an insurance company that's not going to help me anyway.

My friend, who voted for O, cannot get the healthcare website to work. She's in NY, and she's pissed. She's spent hours and days over weeks, talking with the website people.

It's really fucked up.

You can look at all the costs of Obamas "affordable" insurance policies in the U.S. All the states and Cities. You will see cost is even determined in the city you live in. My computer skills are limited so I'll provide direction. If someone could help and add a direct link that would be great.
Go to healthcare.gov
Scroll down and on the left and go to the heading; Quick information
Go to; Plan information for individuals and families Health Plans / Dental Plans. Enter/Tap on; Health Plans
Scroll down to SOCRATA and there are the start of Obamas Unaffordable Don't Care Insurance Policies costs for all the US...

LOL! how can I pay 27,000 out of my 50,000 a year salary for insurance? This is pure BS and I'll never purchase this forced health care. What about people who pay up to 50% of their income to child support, how can they pay for insurance and not live on the street?

Insurance is $226mo.
Government subsidy is $110/mo

I pay 116/mo.

That's less than the $400/mo I pay now.

I'm gonna fucking sign up.

What's the deductible?

If it's the Bronze plan, it is likely somewhere in the neighborhood of $5,000.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

For my family the "silver plan" would cost $1700 a month with a $10,000 deductible.... For a total yearly cost of $30,000.....and that does not include any medications.....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3066530

What possibly can be affordable about that? I don't care how much you make, 1700 a month and a 10000 deductible is not reasonable. Even a 5000 deductible is stupid. I have paid health care, it went up (have to pay my share) and is not as good as it was because it doesn't meet the "minimum standard" of Obummacare. I have other options, if I didn't I would have to buy a supplemental plan to get less coverage in 2014 than I had in 2013. The damage has been done. If they repeal the Affordable Care Act the insurance companies are going to keep their new windfall premiums.

Under Obamacare the CHEAPEST health insurance policies available to the typical American working family will cost $20,000 per year.Doctor Obama

Other effects of the 2,572 page law include:

-Premium increases up to 413% for some individuals.
-An average $4,100 premium increase for families.
– The penalty for taking money out of a Healthcare Savings Account for a non-medical reason doubles from 10% to 20%.
-Using an HSA, flexible savings or health reimbursement account to pay for over-the-counter medication is no longer allowed.
-FSA’s will now be capped at $2,500.
-1/3 of employers could stop offering healthcare.
-Obamacare will increase the long-term federal deficit by $6.2 trillion.
-The itemized deduction limit for medical expenses will rise from 7.5% to 10% of adjusted gross income.
3-0 million Americans will still be uninsured eight years after Obamacare is fully implemented.
-The average family can expect at least $5,875 in new taxes, fees and higher premiums once Obamacare is fully implemented.

Obamacare is the biggest overhaul to our healthcare system and the biggest tax increase in history. It will bring massive changes to our daily lives, most of them negative. Do you think Obamacare should be repealed before it cripples our healthcare system

Go to "the health sherpa.com" . They give you prices, deductibles and cost sharing if you put in your zip code.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 37700973

Good website. So for me it would be roughly $560 a month which is about 1/5th my income (63 and retired). Doesn't mean a thing since I would have to pay 6200 before they cover much of anything. So nice of the government to come up with shit like this. Fortunately I have another plan. I guess though that will be shit when I turn 65 and Medicare takes care of me.

IRS: Cheapest Obamacare Plan Will Be $20,000 Per Family

4

obamacarerepeal
(CNSNews.com) – In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year.

Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

The IRS’s assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

The examples point to families of four and families of five, both of which the IRS expects in its assumptions to pay a minimum of $20,000 per year for a bronze plan.

“The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000,” the regulation says.

Bronze will be the lowest tier health-insurance plan available under Obamacare–after Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Under the law, the penalty for not buying health insurance is supposed to be capped at either the annual average Bronze premium, 2.5 percent of taxable income, or $2,085.00 per family in 2016.

In the new final rules published Wednesday, IRS set in law the rules for implementing the penalty Americans must pay if they fail to obey Obamacare’s mandate to buy insurance.

To help illustrate these rules, the IRS presented examples of different situations families might find themselves in.

In the examples, the IRS assumes that families of five who are uninsured would need to pay an average of $20,000 per year to purchase a Bronze plan in 2016.

Using the conditions laid out in the regulations, the IRS calculates that a family earning $120,000 per year that did not buy insurance would need to pay a “penalty” (a word the IRS still uses despite the Supreme Court ruling that it is in fact a “tax”) of $2,400 in 2016.

For those wondering how clear the IRS’s clarifications of this new “penalty” rule are, here is one of the actual examples the IRS gives:

“Example 3. Family without minimum essential coverage.

“(i) In 2016, Taxpayers H and J are married and file a joint return. H and J have three children: K, age 21, L, age 15, and M, age 10. No member of the family has minimum essential coverage for any month in 2016. H and J’s household income is $120,000. H and J’s applicable filing threshold is $24,000. The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000.

“(ii) For each month in 2016, under paragraphs (b)(2)(ii) and (b)(2)(iii) of this section, the applicable dollar amount is $2,780 (($695 x 3 adults) + (($695/2) x 2 children)). Under paragraph (b)(2)(i) of this section, the flat dollar amount is $2,085 (the lesser of $2,780 and $2,085 ($695 x 3)). Under paragraph (b)(3) of this section, the excess income amount is $2,400 (($120,000 – $24,000) x 0.025). Therefore, under paragraph (b)(1) of this section, the monthly penalty amount is $200 (the greater of $173.75 ($2,085/12) or $200 ($2,400/12)).

“(iii) The sum of the monthly penalty amounts is $2,400 ($200 x 12). The sum of the monthly national average bronze plan premiums is $20,000 ($20,000/12 x 12). Therefore, under paragraph (a) of this section, the shared responsibility payment imposed on H and J for 2016 is $2,400 (the lesser of $2,400 or $20,000).”

Your monthly bill will be $226. The subsidy you (might) get added to any tax refund (if any). Then you have the annual deductable top meet before the "insurance" pays even $1. Then you have the co-pays once that deductable is met. If you want medications with that that'll cost you huge.

My theory is that the plans are designed to build a perfect society/master race (think Hitler). The poor and sick, roughly 60% of the US population, will not be able to afford any health care. While the Elite and healthy will not be affected and live on, thus in effect erradicating most health issues that log jam hospitals today.

First, I used Chrit's page for the info...not gonna go to the "other" page.

We don't qualify for any subsides.

Silver plan is 1293.00 for the two of us.

F*ck them!

Not gonna do it!

:no fuck:
 Quoting: Carol B.

Ours was close to this too, like $1100 a month just for premiums, then the $12000 deductible...no way, that would have been 100% of my net pay (while I was still working). I would have been working at a net loss.

I didn't go to the gov't. site, went to the Kaiser site, back when it listed your AGE as a qualifying factor (and income---it appears they took this off when they rolled out the government website, how convenient). They still have the income, just they took off the AGE box.

Everyone keeps saying it's the young people that are going to have to subsidize the older, and I just never found that.

I played around with the Kaiser site putting in different ages/incomes, and as the age went DOWN and the income went DOWN the cost went down. As the age went UP and the income went UP the price went UP.

I didn't see the younger age groups paying MORE and the older paying less...I saw the older paying more, and those with higher incomes paying a lot more.

And I'm not talking those with $200k a year incomes, I'm talking those making maybe $75-$125k a year together as a couple just getting creamed (and/or as a single income).

After awhile it leveled off, so WTF?

The really wealthy pay the same as someone in the working class? Those that have no income, free regardless of any other factor?

So, yes, it appeared to me that the majority of working Americans were subsidizing everyone else...while the corps. will get a free pass card (kick 'em off their prior plans) and the ins. companies will make out like bandits.

It's a rip-off with those in higher incomes brackets and those that are older paying the highest costs...NOT the young people (remember they can stay on parent's plan until 26).

Although in all fairness, it still wasn't affordable for the young people either if they had a decent income, well, even some that didn't.

People making $9 per hour can't afford $125 a month PLUS the deductibles and the 20-40% on inpatient, that's almost laughable. That $125 a month is for groceries.

When I ran it (beginning of 2013) I think the income limits were you had to make under $15 or $12k a year for it to be "medicaid" or free. So young people making $9-$11 per hour wouldn't qualify, and face it, on these wages, they won't be buying.
 Quoting: InTheHood

The talk of the "young" subsidizing the "old" for insurance does not mean that they will pay more. The young are expected to not use it as much and therefor most of the premiums garnered from them will balance out the extra costs for the old.

But as others have said, the fact that this Obamanation is even law shows that freedom is dieing in this country.

That is just horrendous. That much per month?!?!! My god.

What's the point in insurance if you still end up with a huge bill when you need to avail of the insurance?!

I'm just shocked. There is a similar system in Ireland...all medical care is insurance or if out of work/pensioner it is free - to a point. Although free means never getting any diagnostics and being told to go away...coupled with ridiculously long waiting lists, in which time you'd more than likely die of your illness.

The UK healthcare is still currently free. You can pay privately there to get seen to quicker...and have a private room. The 'care' is still the same, private or national service.

This bubble is bursting isn't it?

This is awful.

We are told that the TAX WE PAY on our income and every single item we buy (VAT)is to fund medical care, education etc....i would like to know what the taxes are being spent on as all these things are now privatised...and we the people incur extra CHARGES!

Where is all the fekin money going?!!

We need to rise up and say a massive 'fuck you' - together..as a whole civilisation...that is the ONLY way to save the system...

...which afterall is a system which is not currently serving those it purports to serve.

The money is no longer held against gold and are just figures on a screen...to make us slave more to make the debt into REAL money.

Collectively we need to stop paying for EVERYTHING.

They cannot jail EVERYONE!!!
