I enjoy Hellyeah as they do have some similar beats of due to Vin being in the band, but they are not Pantera. I listen to a bit of Down from time to time, but Phil is not the same without the driving force of Pantera. Sadly, Vinny does not and will not speak with Phil because it seems like he blames him for the break up of Pantera that resulted in Dimebag's shooting. I stopped listening to much music shortly after he died because it wasn't the same and got turned on to podcasts. Without question, Pantera changed the dynamics of the metal community with their raw edge on music and in your face lyrics. Quoting: Question EVERYTHING I had the privilege of seeing Pantera one time at 1st Ave. on the Vulgar Display of Power tour and it was by far the best concert that I EVER been at. What was so cool about Dime was he was so cool and treated his fans with respect and never lost sight of why he was there and the fact that he was a fucking monster on the ax. I wonder if if all the senseless childishness between band member had not gotten in the way and they were able to patch things up, if Dimebag would have been killed in another way because it was his time? And this is why I posted this on a conspiracy site... can you change fate? FUCKIN A!!! Enjoy all you fans of a legacy that will live forever. He was a hack. |

You'd be pretty hard pressed to convince anyone that this guy was a "hack". No one had ever heard anyone play like him and no one will again. Perhaps if you don't like his music, then you have a predisposition about what you find appealing to your ears. I will admit, Pantera is not for everyone but without question, he was a talented guitarist. I've listened to many songs that I don't care for because I feel that they are not appealing to my ears, but appreciate talent when I hear it. Quoting: Cactus31 I can't remember what became of the fuck that shot him. Hopefully, ass cancer or worse. A cop shot him in the head within 3 min . Nobody saw him get shot from all the reports I read. There is a HUGE conspiracy behind this murder. Pantera reuniting was NOT an option for the NWO. It has illuminati symbolism all over it as crazy as this sounds. Dimebag was a incredible player and his tone was never to be duplicated. RIP Darryll miss you every day dude. |

You can hear it. That's why its so good. A true lead drummer that carried the whole band like a drummer is supposed to. Him perforning with Hellyeah.. |

God knows what kind of dope the military loaded him up on. Thank god that cop was able to blast that nutter veteran with a shotgun fairly quickly or that whole place would have been lined with dead bodies. |

True story, around 2000 I was lucky enough to party with Pantera, a friend of ours was dating the country singer Joe Nichols, we were at a cowboy joint called Red River Dallas to see him play, after the show, the boys from Pantera were hanging out & wanted to to show Joe "the real" Dallas, I was drafted, since I had a large SUV, so I drove them around, we hit a couple of strip bars, talk about a weird mix, hard rockers a country star & me, the guys from Pantera were really cool & treated me like just like one of the guys. I have pics I need to dig up, this was before cell phone cameras got really popular & good Be strong, be of good courage, God bless America & long live the republic. . |

From what I heard He believed that the band was making songs to taunt him. He literally thought the bands whole purpose was to screw with his mind and he snapped..plus Phil saying he wished Dimebag would get shot in the face prior to the incident in an interview is fucked..he wasn't even invited to the funeral. |
