Or walking and not driving proper.Usually when im at a light or at a stop sign and I wonder why they dont drive right away. It was because They were on their cell phone.

People are zoning out more and more on their cell phones and spending less time in reality.
You see people texting while walking and not looking where they are going.

It is pathetic OP, people that choose that path disconnect themselves from the rest of nature, as well as other humans and instead connect themselves to material things such as gadgets. The same could be said for typing in this box and having a view of the world through it. I am thankful to be living in a place where nature is abundant and still wild.

I was talking to a friend of mine earlier tonight about technology, and phones in particular. I use mine to take pictures when I am out in nature and listen to music. It at least offsets some of the disconnection of such devices.

Doesn't have to be ghetto, was in an upper class strip mall,
all open area, all the teens & 20's never look up- they walk as zombies. So sad

Due to the fact most people are now living through their phones, I now have run of the place. It's great!

All the while the shit load of radiation from the device, both wifi and radio frequency, is creating all sorts of cancerous cells and tumours. Definitely part of the population reduction plan.

Sometimes have a right go at the Mrs whose fucking addicted to her phone. Constant 24/7. Any fucking opportunity to grab the phone, even middle of the night! No wonder she has health issues.

First and foremost: I agree with everything y'all are saying about these phones causing disconnect and that many times people are using them in rude and dangerous ways. Also, it's pretty evident at this point that these devices can be detrimental to physical health.

HOWEVER: Just like the quotes above - the point of the commercial was that all the time her dad thought she was on the phone for personal communication with friends she was actually taking pictures of everything and at the end she sends him the pictures with the message "Best Vacation Ever"... Just like the holiday commercial with the teen boys video at the end.

I've actually run across a similar situation "IRL" ;) when I was confronted by another shopper at our local grocery store who thought I was texting and walking because I had my phone in my hand and was looking at the screen a lot....

It was necessary for me to look at the screen, though, you know? Otherwise it would have been incredibly difficult for me to get the items on the grocery list my husband sent me.

So, sometimes the phones are a legitimate resource and, like the Good Book says, "All things in moderation."

Gonna be a whole lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth when the grid goes down for good.

Uh these "gagets" and the gaget your using to type your hypocritcal message, have brought people TOGETHER. They might not be connecting with people phsyically in nature but they're doing it online , where you can have more connections and more ideas exchanged than walking out on the street and talking to your neighbour.

These people that complain about people into their gagets are just real life trolls complaining no ones paying attention to their trolling behaviour in public.

Looks to me like the guy in the still pic was just using his phone to take a picture of his family though, they are the new cameras now too.
