How convenient! NATO just happened to have troops on ships in the right place at the right time. Almost like they knew this was going to happen because they planned and funded it to happen. well let us get real, that is exactly what happened. This is in regard to a previously scheduled training exercise and has nothing to do with what is happening in the Ukraine right now.

It will more than likely be postponed until the hostilities calm down.

I should point out here that "previously scheduled training exercise" is a standard lie used globally by all countries, everywhere, whenever there are tensions. I've seen that term used more times than I can remember over many years.
A more recent example is when China emplaced an "air defence" zone and two US B52s promptly flew straight through it. "It was a pre-planned exercise" claimed Washington.

Stay out of it? The US started it. Since the US orchestrated the coup, you have to wonder what they think the response of Russia would be, and what contingency plans they have for any Russian response. My guess is that they believed that Putin would most certainly send troops to the Crimea which he has. They probably believe that he would not send troops to occupy Kiev. This would allow the US to install a puppet government into the western portion of Ukraine which is what has happened. This means they have more territory closer to Russia. They will probably put an ABM system in western Ukraine. They already have them in Poland and Czechoslovakia. Since these are so close to Russia, they can take out nuclear missiles in the boost phase, soon after launch, which is much easier than intercepting warheads over the US entering the atmosphere. This coup in Ukraine, if it stays in place, allows the US to either nuke Russia or invade it and neutralize (they think) any nuclear counter attack.
