BP is responsible for Bayou Corne. Irradiated particles have been measured in the bayou, that means a close by empty dome is storing some radioactive waste. All the Methane is pushed into the strata, just under the surface. The people who haven't left have all been given Methane measuring alarms, so they'll have time to run if the levels rise.

Berms have been placed all around the bayou. They said it was to keep it from growing. It's actually to keep it from dumping that water into that salt and compromising more of the land close to the Bayou.....because just 1500ft away is a well with 1.6 million cubic feet of liquid butane that cannot be moved. If it touches air it will ignite. The resulting explosion, augmented by the Methane, would be unbelievably huge. Like 6 Hiroshimas. Whatever radioactive waste that was stored would vaporize into the air too.
