And judging by the destructive and violent nature of most humans, would a superior being want humans among the stars contacting other races? No. If we found another culture close to our own, we would use hypnotic entertainment and fear to turn them into slaves, like we do on earth. Earth is a large open air prison, and we all live in a huge commercial housing complex.

Have you ever watched a live broadcast from the ISS???

With all modern technology still there's no such thing as "live streaming", there's a delay in the feed and NASA can't keep it up ONE MINUTE without a glitch and loss of signal.

You want people believing that they did a worldwide live broadcast from the Moon almost 50 years ago, but you don't want them believing that Hollywood had the resources to fake a Moon landing back then???

Why cant we see the bright stars? When at night, we can see them so clearly through our thick atmosphere on earth. Shouldn't they shine like sparks?

If the United States pumped the same amount of work into space exploration as they did in the 1960s every decade since then, it's amazing to think where we'd be today.

In the 60s it was mostly all theory, they had little hard data and not much real experience. Today, you have more processing power in your tablet than the entire space program (vehicles, ground control, modeling) had access to, but they were able to accomplish more in ten years than we have done in the preceding forty.

We'd have cities on Mars and be popping open wormholes at will, probably.

People laugh at the old magazines made in the 1950s and 1960s that describe "life in the year 2000" with flying cars, personal household robots, and stuff. Well, at that time if you assumed we would continue to progress at the same rate they had been, it's totally logical to expect that's the level of tech we would achieve.

I find it funny really believe that we went to the moon in a tin can where today are cell phones have more computing power!!!

We've been to the moon, it is this type of craft hasn't.

Humans have a very limited mental capacity. 100 years ago they said it was absolutely impossible for heavier than air craft to fly, now look at us....You cant say anything is impossible just because we "Humans" cant do it.

It might just be true that they are demons of old but, it might also be true that they are the pure spirits, the loving gods and the superior beings that reside in a inscrutable reality because our inferior minds cant perceive the realm in which they reside.

We cant understand their reality in the same way a goat or a monkey cant understand our reality.

Please prove the Russians were actually ahead. They were only ahead during Mercury, they fell behind during Gemini. They had their own Moon landing program and the only reason they didn't go is because they couldn't get their heavy lifting booster, the N-1, to work. It had a bad habit of exploding soon after liftoff. Still they had an active program trying until 1974, two years after Apollo ended.

Why do you lie? They did film the Earth. That you think they didn't just proves you haven't really looked.

They went around them.

Stars won't show up without a long exposure. The Earth WAS photographed. Venus was also captured on film. They also took UV photos with a special camera they brought on a later mission.

The question is, why didn't you know this already?

It's cute that you think the Moon is "millions of miles".
Since nobody wanted to pay for it since Apollo, where is there to go between LEO and the Moon? Why should they go halfway when there is nothing there?

They are still relatively dim compared to the sunlit surface. They are only dimmed about 15% by our atmosphere. They would not be that much brighter in space and still far too dim to show up on the same film with a bright sunlit surface.

The frequency of micrometeorites is the same near the Moon as it is in LEO. It is not nearly as high as you seem to think it is.

Why would they need more computing power? All the calculations were done on the ground in large mainframes. If need be the necessary computations could be done with a slide rule.

Read that thread. Not one video of the earth from the lunar surface. Don't be a stupid asshole.
