Can you give any insight into the events around what is commonly known as the Tower of Babel? Who built it, Who destroyed it and why?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25855936

Again an amalgam of myths. On one side Tower of Babel symbolizes the breaking of global culture after the war some 32.000 years ago.

On the other hand it describes a catastrophic failiure of an actual device that was erected tens of thousands of years ago, a computer of sorts whos task was to create a synthetic, miniaturized version of God.

Who originally built the temple of Baalbek and left the colossal stones in the quarry. How did they manipulate stones that big?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 38315082

That was not a temple. The building's original purpoe was similar to a town hall. It stood in the centre of an equally gargantuan settlement. It was built by a technologically advanced race of proto-humans via high technology. The precise method is not known but it's plausible to think they used magnetism and cut stones using large saws.
 Quoting: Alterwelt

Approximately how long ago/which civ built the structure?

Can you describe these "proto-humans?
Size, intellect, what they looked like, etc..
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67837765

The ruins were old more than 30.000 years ago, the people who built this city died out some 50.000 years ago. They were large in stature, some 12-15 feet high and advanced technologically but details are scarce.

A rich but somber member of one of the secret societies in America, he believed the world would end, it cost him more than 40.000 dollars.

Joke's on him.

The collective OPs are always so sober in replying without much editorializing...then this bit of snark.

You have frequently referred to secret societies with members such as Tolkien and the author of the Voynich manuscript. And you also mentioned places that are sacred and preserved by members of these societies such as Central Park.

Can you elaborate on these societies? What type of person is a member? What are their various purposes? Is it religious or scientific or both? Do they practice ritual sacrifice?

Is there any merit to them? Are they useful or simply an elite social outcropping?

There is much that is not clear or known. What is known is that at some point the premiere scientific powers of the old world took it upon themselves to synthesize God, they of course failed, quite spectacularly so.

The device was if you will a wish machine that could create it's own laws of reality at least that was it's intended purpose.

Even the science of the period proved insufficient however and the results were catastrophic.

Ravens are an artistic license, Odin is a name of an ancient commander who, some 32.000 years ago commanded the armies of the people of Europe against a power that resided in the Atlantic.
Why do Ashkenazi jews have a higher average IQ than other races?
 Quoting: Ergo Sum

Several thousands years back there was a genetic bottleneck due to starvation, only the smartest and most determined Ashkenazi survived and since they did not intermarry with non-Jews much the trait stuck for some time and when it was gone the Ashkenazi clang to it via tradition and pride.

 Quoting: Markymark62 55047650

Noah's fleet landed in Egypt approximately 40 miles seaward from the current Nile's delta and that's where all his ships rested.

Over a thousand years later, some 11.200 years ago when what remained of pre-deluvial Egypt fell to seven years of drought and famine some people sailed to Turkey.

There they created a much simpler civilization, having lost much in the flood and shifting climate that followed. Gobekli Tepe is one of their creations, it is conceivable that the site you describe is another.

A small comet appearing in low orbit on a collision course with earth, travelling at extreme velocity. It was destroyed prior to impact but the explosion created a global firestorm.

The date is unclear but it is believed to be between 50.000 and 70.000. A colleague who specializes in this subject will appear tomorrow. Repeat the question then.

Re: Remote Viewing Ancient Civilizations - a compilation of data.
I finally figured our what is so perplexing about this thread.....

OPs would have us accept that Earth's history is kind of mundane with so much being naturally evolved over eons. No extraordinary intervention or achievement in the more recent chronicled history.

....Yet they would have us accept their extraordinary feat of "remote viewing", a term they only grudgingly use because we couldn't possibility fathom the far from mundane tech or ability they use to source this wealth of humanity's knowledge.

Anyone else bothered by that disconnect?

That's not to say that I don't find the replies fascinating in their mendacity - it's as I always suspected, boring and logical.

And, as such, easily conjectured and made up....

Can you expand what you know on this topic of tantric knowledge?
I'm curious about the energy related to people and its what people saw as its purpose.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69873798

The issue relates to more than tantric knowledge. Much of Buddism and traditions that are on the surface unrelated to it but existing in India and Asia in general stem from an earlier source.

Once a codified set of practices existed that allowed people to influence their own systems without invasive methods.

The influence was not only medical but psychological and even deeper. The remains of this are found in Yoga, meditation and tantric practies among others.
 Quoting: Alterwelt

What's deeper than psychological?

Does your group have any findings on how other civilizations handled mental illness? I've read the Egyptians had 3 days rituals to help people with their psychology. The Hawaiians have a massage practice called Lomi Lomi that I believe in some circles also addresses this.

One last question, who are the Hawaiians? Where do they come from? Are their shaman, teachers and healers different from other indigenous tribes? Do you know anything about the island that non-Hawaiians are not allowed on? I'm curious about them. Their auras are big!

So which civilization had the huge cone skulls and bigger bodies from the past? such as the various skulls and skeletons described by klaus dona/in peru museums

also, were they telepathic or did they simply possess higher intellect given the extra brain volume?

the MSM always attributes it to skull binding which is hard to believe.

term "the withching hour" refers to the time of night (3:00-4:00 am is commonly speculated) when creatures such as witches, demons, and ghosts are thought to appear and to be at their most powerful and black magic to be most effective

any truth to a certain time of night attracting or empowering the evil/dark side (for lack of a better term)

or just myth?
