Levels should drop over the next few days.

The Kp index is back to 4 and we are in another geomagnetic storm watch.

We had some large earthquakes following the geomagnetic storms last night.

Update on the solar magnetic pole reversal.
New data released today shows the northern pole slightly more positive. I would not get too excited as it will likely go back negative as the sun turns.
This is the trend we are seeing, because the magnetic field looks like this.

They have moved the kp index down to 3, but the forecast shows it going back up. 3 hour outlook is 4.7, so we are still in a geomagnetic storm watch.

The solar wind is calming now.
It's down to 550 and the plasma temp is starting to drop.

The enlil spiral shows it should be calm till about half way through the day on the 5th when we pick up our next coronal hole stream. It will not be as big as the last one was. I didn't check, but we might have a sector boundary crossing. So maybe a earthquake uptick around 12pm UTC on the 5th.

I don't think we will see any geomagnetic storms unless the flaring picks up again.

Cosmic rays are bouncing back fast.
We should pick up the next coronal hole stream in 3.5 hours. I do find the number of largs earth quakes in south america disturbing, only because north america has been shaking.

Still, I feel everything is going according to plan.
I am just along for the ride.

DSCOVR Launch Status
February 4, 2015
The U.S. Air Force (USAF), acting in its capacity as the launch services provider with SpaceX, and with concurrence from NOAA and NASA, has announced a delay in the Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR) mission. DSCOVR is now expected to launch no earlier than February 8, 2015. NOAA continues to monitor any risk to the schedule in close coordination with its partners and will provide updates as they are available.
