Oops sorry, simultaneous post. :-). As I mentioned, the abacus was interesting because I've owned and used one with my little ones- just haven't used it in a while, but it was a staple in the home for a while.

I think it's a very well laid out video.
I just watched it last week for the first
time and I happened to notice that I had been
doing some of the same things he taught,
but I was doing it from no training.
It came natural for me. But I did learn some
terms for the things I was doing. Before,
I was just doing them without knowing
the terminology.

I think Ed is a good teacher on the subject
and his asst wasn't bad either.

I enjoyed the Q&A session at the end with Dames
better than the video itself. As this section
shed more light on the subject. I would love
to converse with Dames 1 on 1 in person, but
I know that's not possible.

I wouldn't call Dames an idol even though I respect
him and what he does, I rather tend to think of Dames
as a colleague in a certain field of study even
though we have never met.
