Honda Sells 300th million Motorcycle
In November Honda announced that it had sold it's 300th million motorcycle.

The milestone bike is a Honda Gold Wing produced at the company's Kumamoto Factory in Japan. Honda will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Gold Wing in 2015.

Honda began mass production of motorcycles in Japan in 1949 when it built the Honda 98cc Dream Type-D.

Damn true story. I had a Honda as a kid and rode it into the ground.

A guy bought the remains to build a generator and that engine is probably STILL running.

That's because NOONE can compete with U.S. branded Arrogance! There's almost no room on Earth with our country's vast ego! lol Too bad that either one and the even the combination of the both of them can't help us Americans build something truly wonderful. Not bad at all for Honda though.
Conspiracy Theorist is nothing more than a derogatory title used to dismiss a critical thinker.

A time is coming when men will go mad,
and when they see someone who is not mad,
they will attack him, saying,
'You are mad; you are not like us."

When I was a kid there were so many more motorcycles than there are now, I was actually thinking this the other day. I guess more people have cars now, or something.

I just bought a goldwing on Friday. I'm pretty happy with that purchase. Harleys are cool and all, but they will never be as reliable as a jap bike.

Re: Honda Sells 300th million Motorcycle
So everyone loves Honda's products......why can't we follow suit and make our products the chosen ones, with great customer feedback?

The answer is we could. But we won't. The Japanese have been coming to America for decades to study all sorts of topics from metallurgy to electronics, and everything in between. They seem to have applied techniques that was once possessed by us and made it profitable, to which I say, good for you.

My issue is that this was fostered.

I want my stuff that I buy to be made here. But I had an American made Briggs and Stratton engine explode throwing a chunk of aluminum into my leg.......Made in America! BS! That engine was/is my bread and butter and Briggs tries to tell me I didn't oil it....

Known defects from outsourcing is ruining quality of what was once a proud nation that made the best stuff available.

Re: Honda Sells 300th million Motorcycle
You know:
all the designs honda sold during the 60's here in the US were actually designed before wwII, but things got a bit sidelined, finally the Rockefellers took control of Japan and we had nice products. From the little honda 50's to the 305's and 450's.

Personally I had a honda 50, 250 scrambler, 305 superhawk, little 50 mini bike, and XR 500 thumper.

Axe me anything, I had-um, I rode-um.

I think VW tops sales of any automobile with the Bug, 800 million in the 80's~90's.

Re: Honda Sells 300th million Motorcycle
300th million??

Is that like .000300th of a motorcycle?

Maybe they sold a small part like a valve stem cover?

Oh, you meant 300 millionth.

Never mind!
Yes, I did cure my Stage 4 cancer in two weeks when I was 48. I also reversed my chronic kidney disease (glomerulonephritis) when I was 25. In neither case were any medical treatments involved.
