And it's taking 3-4 men to lift each. I do declare, there's gold in them bags Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25419341 Have you ever actually handled a woman's piece of luggage? Shit, just makeup and toiletries weigh in at like 19 pounds. Then add the clothes and jugglery. Have you ever packed a bag or flown? There's a 50 lb limit. And it's pretty hard to beat that unless you pack bricks. Also, when I travel with my wife, no, it doesn't take 3-4 grown men to lift her bag. The luggage is soaked, and the rescuers are not exactly on stable and flat ground. Have you been in an inflatable boat. The inside bottom is a little squishy. The boats are bobbing up and down. The person inside the plane is at an angle and might even be on their stomach, while passing out the bags. Asian people are also small. I at no time indicated a bag was over 50 pounds. Also, I'm not a wimp, but you know a 50 pound piece of luggage is nothing an average person could pick up with one hand and just fucking toss about like a shoe box. Then again, maybe you're a The Rock or a UFC fighter. To a lot of people, things stat to get heavy at about 30 pounds. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

Sounds like a lot of people still missing. Any chance of an air pocket in wreckage? |

Heard reports that crew declared a mayday for engine failure. A single engine failure should not have caused this. A dual engine failure is very rare. He appears to have stalled out to avoid the apartment buildings. Really surprised anyone lived. I know enough to know that I know nothing |

It definitely looks like a classic departure stall, and with one engine out, there's little time to identify, bank, power, trim and everything else necessary to keep a multi-engine aircraft flying under control. These are the kinds of events that have to be drilled every few months, at least, and unfortunately, the modern A/C are so easy to fly that when one needs to make seat of the pants command decisions, one second guesses himself, and thinks of consequences with authority rather than just flying the plane. |
