Firefox having problems with a GLP thread
My Firefox shuts down with this thread:
[link to www.godlikeproductions.com]

Do I need to change settings or what?

All other threads seem okay...weird

Frustrating!

I've got no problems loading that thread - I'm using version 1.5.0.6

Can't comment about your settings cause I don't know what your setting are. Sorry.

Re: Firefox having problems with a GLP thread
weird. new problem ever for me.

Dunno what the deal is.

I have Firefox latest build. Cleared Cache.

ASIDE: My kids contracted an miserable Trojan Downloader on my PC [not GLP-related]

I've been going bonkers trying to remove PurityScan virus from my computer. Damn worm regenerates!

Maybe I screwed something up trying to clean/block. Recommendations sought.

But I still don't understand why this folder-only dumps me.

Works okay on IE.

Re: Firefox having problems with a GLP thread
I have been having problems with my Firefox browser and GLP all day. It would load the pages halfway then stop. All other sites would load normally, but not GLP.

I went to another forum and the same started to happen but only with certain posts.

It would load halfway and stop. But at this site I could see in my address bar other sites trying to load on top of the post, it was long enough so I could copy them. The ones I caught where:

ptr91.com

pcmicroware.com

lambiek.net

easyweb.easynet.co.uk

One of these are from a gun dealer (!!??!!).

Its nothing new for GLP, funny enough mine usually freezes when I go to some of the links you provide!

I just put it down to the GLP wise asses!

And its funny you should say that because mine just did it on the Mason link...

Its a conspiracy I tell you! Its a conspiracy! lol

re spyware removal - if you're using XP
you MUST turn off the System Retore,
run your scans to remove *all* of it,
then you can turn the S. R. back on.

Use Opera. IMO it is much better than Firefox and it is free like firefox [link to www.opera.com]

Here's few good programs for adware and trojans

Ad-Aware [link to www.lavasoftusa.com]

Spysweeper [link to www.webroot.com]

Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4 [link to www.download.com]

and it helps if you got good antivirus and firewall programs. i have Avast Antivirus and Kerio Personal Firewall. Best programs ever

System Restore would not turn off in my computer\properties\system restore\check box

So I disabled the service.

In any case no luck. After scans from the most spiffy adware/antivirus software I still get malware and trojon downloaders regenerating in my system32.

Maybe I should wash my PC in the dishwasher, that might work.

Shoot it?

BS. never had any problems with FF, and tons with IE.

Use this extension for extra security, It blocks scrips. You can easily allow sites that you trust to run scripts, but others are blocked.
