Anonymous Coward User ID: 52557800 United States 04/26/2015 10:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't think the Kosher killing of animals is all that humane. Cutting its throat and letting it bleed out causes the animal much distress. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 68749097 The priest had to pass the knife through his lips to make sure the blade was smooth. A priest could be put to death for hurting any animal needlessly with a dull blade. So the blade was smooth and sharp where the animal would hardly even feel it and would peacefully die as the blood drained. The people in Nepal do not do these things. It is inhumane killings which is why people are trying to stop it. Jesus brought an end to Israel's temple sacrifices. As if the blood of innocent animals could cover the sins of Israel. True, only Jews were required to give animal sacrifices. Not Christians. Jesus is the last sacrifice being the perfect lamb of God. Its totally evil |

johnswahoo User ID: 69028238 United States 04/26/2015 10:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The fact there are such remote areas of the region, I'm sure there are places that won't even get searched which could be totally devastated and in need of immediate help. I saw where the death toll was at 2500 which is incredible because if I remember correctly, when the Haiti quake took place, within days two days they were saying 10k were killed. So, the fact that the number only jumped 1500 in the last 24 hours is a good thing. Hopefully this trend will continue and the loss of life will be far less than it could have been. The animals weren't even used as food. They did these sacrifices for protection and it occurs every five years. It is truly horrific what they do. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69041672 [link to www.dailymail.co.uk] What's your message? Did you forget that it's way more horrific what the 'civilized' western world is doing to animals EVERY DAY? Did you forget the millions of newborn male chicken which are being killed EVERY DAY in our meat factories? You seem to have double moral standards when it comes to judging others... |

I have no problem with animals being humanely killed for food. Or quickly killed if they are not needed. These animals were horrifically slaughtered for nothing. Some were tortured waiting for death. The meat was not eaten by people who really do need it. And people flocked to see the slaughter as well. There is a difference here. |
johnswahoo User ID: 69028238 United States 04/26/2015 11:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Even with the rise to 3200+ that number is good (all things considered). The humanitarian issue and potential disease that could evolve is a bigger concern. I'm really praying that this number doesn't go into biblical proportions. "Offer me money, offer me power...
