So after 2nd night outside ground still shaking with aftershocks and no power still. Saw some intersting aircraft yest as im on path to airport about five km away. Lots of military transporters and last night three came in together with tbe midle one landing and two smaller peeling away over hils. Fighter escort i assume but not nepal as they dont have airforce.

also saw some nightwalkers zigzagging the night sky - Nice evening for me but it rained hard for half of it so theres gonna be hundreds of thousands of very cold and wet folks here too afraid to enter damaged houses as most are!

Theres some very poor reporting going on here in nepal. Last night everyone was freaking out due to a bbc report witha nepali scientist that a 10 Mag is coming and will crack the ground making volcanos, major hysteria and people wouldnt belive me when i said that wouldnt happen.

been told no power in nepal for a week so rescue can be done safely - Understandable but no power to charge anything!

The fact there are such remote areas of the region, I'm sure there are places that won't even get searched which could be totally devastated and in need of immediate help.
I saw where the death toll was at 2500 which is incredible because if I remember correctly, when the Haiti quake took place, within days two days they were saying 10k were killed.
So, the fact that the number only jumped 1500 in the last 24 hours is a good thing. Hopefully this trend will continue and the loss of life will be far less than it could have been.

What's your message? Did you forget that it's way more horrific what the 'civilized' western world is doing to animals EVERY DAY? Did you forget the millions of newborn male chicken which are being killed EVERY DAY in our meat factories?

You seem to have double moral standards when it comes to judging others...

I have no problem with animals being humanely killed for food. Or quickly killed if they are not needed.

These animals were horrifically slaughtered for nothing. Some were tortured waiting for death. The meat was not eaten by people who really do need it. And people flocked to see the slaughter as well.

There is a difference here.

Even with the rise to 3200+ that number is good (all things considered). The humanitarian issue and potential disease that could evolve is a bigger concern.
I'm really praying that this number doesn't go into biblical proportions.
