The only things that we who use a moniker or AV need to live up to are our beliefs and our philosophy and, contrary to the way you see things, this is in no way a "limitation" but rather an "ethical obligation" to stand by our views.

What ACs have is the liberty to chop and change their stance depending on which way the wind is blowing. If you are so unsure of yourself, then by all means remain an AC.

N.B. I'm not suggesting that you all do this but I'm sure that many ACs do.

It's not the image that you have to live up to, it's your thoughts, your philosophy etc. etc . And if you disagree with what is being said, then have the guts to stand up and say so.

Once you create an identity you are catagorized by others by the identity you present.

If you happen to stray from your preconcieved identity, then you are thought to be "out of your mind", and are held accountable for your digression.

I don't self-censor myself to fit an "identity" cause frankly I don't give a fuck what people think, or what they think I should be. My thought patterns change everyday, and I believe that "identity" or the self is something fluid and not set in stone.

I understand that not everybody recognizes this, but I think it's true for everyone. Perhaps anynomity provides some sort of freedom for some people to express thoughts that are not bound to the chains of "identity".

There is a definite heirarchy at work here as there is anywhere, but we need everybody's input, that's what so great about the internet and our right to free speech. I will defend OP's questions, not because she? is registered but because I don't think she? was trying to be derisive of AC's.
