I've noticed that the more miserable a persons life, the more they hunger for immortality.

If you set forth to conquer death. You say, "Death come to me now".

In contrast:

"normal" people are content and experience a slow decline.

Immortality must experience this decline to the abyss, in a very short time frame.

Why is this?

You don't get it! We all will live (our souls at least) for eternity. the choice is where you're going to live!

As my life got more and more miserable I lost my apetite for everything including immortality.
If my future is going to be with the kind of poeple I have come accross in this life then I am not interested.
So not true at all.

It's not that my life is miserable that I crave for immortality. My desire stems from the fact that I know my existance here is short. For every step I'll take in life I'll eventually return to where I started which is nothingness. For every friend I meet along my life, I'll have to bid farewell. All my dreams, hopes and aspirations might give me momentary pleasures but eventually the memories of them will fade and all that I'm left with is nothing by the end. I desire immortality because mortality is the real curse. How I would like to live without the fear of dying, to live knowing that my days are uncountable. All these small feats I perform are just the beginning of something even greater that will take centuries to do.
I desire immortality because my thirst for life is unquenchable.

People with miserable lives are miserable inside. Lots of immaturity and selfishness has ruled them. When they face death or think about it they use the same set of values and look at it immaturely and selfishly.

I battled depression for years. Multiple times a week I would fantasize about death. For almost half a year now I have felt really good. I wouldn't mind if I didn't wake up in the morning even though I feel almost fine.

The way I look at it is I've only existed for 25 years out of the endless years. Unless our souls are eternal, we have spent the vast majority of our time not being alive. It is our true home.

compared to most of my "friends" and the people ive grown up with, have you seen the bastards of today? they feel as if they didnt ask to be born into this world and are born into a miserable situation, your "philosophy" is arrogant and i desire to break you

immaturity and selfishness rules them because they are bastard to the FKN core, they are either going to stay that way and let it rule them as you mentioned, or they wil develop a sense of "character" to cope with this realm in hopes of stability,constantly fighting these miserable emotions because they suffer a miserable lifestyle,NOT ONLY THAT but some dont "have a choice", for example clockwork orangeD, some people have to take a special booster shot or pharmaceutical pill to deal with silly things like anxiety,or depression, thanks to mommy and daddy or just mommy, (me, i like a good fight and i can get back up from a good asskicking)THE SYSTEM. WE ALL look at death immaturely and selfishly because survival is our basic instinct, and we have yet to grasp or understand its true meaning having not died yet, some people are just more welcoming to it than others because they feel and think as if they are more "mature", THey were raised and conditioned different as they grow older and continue to expand conscience until they die, and what have they left behind? what defines them as a person and will people remember their name?

remember some of the most beautiful artwork comes from some of the most miserable sons of bitches this planets history has to offer an the ironic thing is the are so far dead they never got a chance to realize we worship what they wrote so long ago, some of them we worship their BONES

Sometimes, happy and pleasant life IS A TRAP. It makes people want to live eternally in their pleasant state possibly ignoring the reality of changeable state of being, like getting old and weak. Attachment happy and pleasant state would make people stop progressing and stop seeking more knowledge. But does means all happiness is a trap, some are the fruit of suffering and wisdom. When it's the fruit of wisdom, then there will be no attachment to that state of being.

When you're miserable, either self defined or real life caused, it makes you want to either escape from your condition or seek solution to your miserableness. So suffering has it's virtue in forcing people to either escape from it or seek for truth. It makes people climb the mountain instead of stop climbing and staying in the easy living plain. Of course just escaping from pain is not necessarily seeking truth. But by just escaping from pain and not seeking the truth of the cause of pain, people are bound to repeat the suffering. So the suffering is a pressure to people to keep seeking.

After observing people for many years I see it the other way round , the rich want immortality to continue the fun and the miserable person wants peace eventually.

For me i could not imagine a life never ending

Immortality is when your EGO/consciousness alines with God.

The "natural selection crew" are just aligning their consciousness with a false God so they have an excuse to do what they want. In the end, that just destroys the soul connection which is what is utilized or represents an "afterlife" which is really just another frequency view of life.
