yes! good stuff. My mom used to travel to brazil a lot on business and she used to bring me back cachaca. I mixed it with fresh lime juice. so good.

OK, so crime is talked about as being terrible in Rio. However, Rio has about 20 million people. I would guess crime per capita is actually very low. I would have to look up stats on that one.

I was walking alone near the Saara street markets one day looking at my phone and GPS for directions, and a small boy about 10 ran up to me and tried to snatch my cell away from me. He was unsuccessful, but he looked at me and ran off. Shit happens so fast, you have to be aware at all times. I learned a valuable lesson.

Our band went to the beach (Ipanema)on another day and the trombone player laid his pants down on the sand to go swimming and somehow somebody snatched them with his American Express card and some Reals money. Another lesson learned.

Are you kidding? Brazilian women are all stunningly beautiful. I am not exaggerating. I fell in love 50 times a day. They have a certain walk, I guess from walking down those steep streets that is most delightful to watch. A sway that is unlike anything I've seen.

Yes, the lime drinks are fantastic! They would put the Cachaça in a glass full of fresh lime slices and something else that made the perfect drink.
