You know as someone living in New Orleans I can tell you something your very short sighted self might not consider.

Disaster comes. It might not be a global catastrophe or a economic crisis or a terrorist overthrowing. But it comes. It comes for people with nothing as well as those with whatever they have at that moment.

The Syrian situation is a good example of a people with nothing having no choice but to flee to somewhere with a glimmer of hope. They won't fight because they don't know how. They have been allowed everything they have for hundreds of years and now don't know how to live without that which is given to them. So they flee to the next hand out.

Now I bet you there are a couple hundred or thousand of hold outs who prepared for this, who saw the writing on the wall, knew about the international influence and inevitable shit storm that would become that region. You will never hear about those people, and that is just the way they want it, and is just the way they just might survive.

In a world where every face is in a phone or a television, the only thing that exists is what is on that phone or television. Or in the case of governments, what is in that database.

Unfortunately for them, those databases only track right now. Those matrices only calculate what behavior we have pre collapse, pre SHTF, pre survival instincts kicking in.

If the lights go out, all the governments data mining will be for naught, or most of it anyway. But even if they run generators to keep their operation going for as long as they can, the point remains that all the data they have on you means absolute dick when it comes to who I will be on the other side. Without my cell phone to track me or computer to read my thoughts or microphones to hear my conversations, the data streams stop when the shit begins.

So yes, while the going is good we will look crazy. While the food stuffs are brimming and your fake cotton currency is undisputed and still buying goods we are all crackpot lunatics.

But when the shit does hit the fan, and you are standing in line waiting for your allotment (and I hope you don't owe taxes or have any felonies outstanding) you will think of us. You will remember us, but you won't find us because we will be ghosts. Ghosts not dead, but ghosts to the system. The system will be so inundated by pathetic complacent types like you it won't have the resources to scour the country side looking for us. But there we will be
