She has tried before, twice. She previously had a permit 2 separate times, years apart, but never got a license. What really motivated her this time, and really motivated us too, was when she won a car in May.
A local dealer does a once a year event, where you can get a car for $41 dollars. The dealer has hundreds of cars for this event, and no one knows which ones are marked down to $41. Out of all the cars on the lot, some newer, some older, there are always at least 5 cars that are the secret $41 cars.When the horn sounds, you have to make a dash to the area where the cars are parked, and get in the drivers seat of the car of your choosing. The price slasher comes around, and marks each car down individually. All the cars are deeply discounted, so it is still a bargain no matter what car you want. My daughter hopped into the 2002 Saturn,garage kept, low miles and in excellent condition. It was marked for $6,500. A man wanted that car too, and he went and hit my daughter in the face, trying to get her out of the drivers seat. Salesman stopped him. Then a woman came up with her daughter and grandkid, and ordered my daughter out of the car, as SHE wanted it, and started to threaten my daughter when my daughter refused to budge. The salesman had to intervene again.
So, my daughter was battered and threatened because some very mean people wanted that Saturn also. I feel that the Hand of God was protecting and guiding my daughter that day, as she could have seriously got hurt because of those mean people.

I have been struggling financially for a while. But it's bad now. I work only part time at my current job since my hours were cut, and It's probably permanent.

I know what to do. Look for full time work. Cut back even more wherever possible. So advice I don't probably need. Prayers I most certainly do.

Please pray for a GLP member who is suffering with deep despair and little support. Pray that she open her heart to God's presence and understand she is unique and beautiful in a dark world that needs her to just be. Let her understand that she is loved, wanted, and no other person in all of mankind can leave her footprint.

May God shower her with an abundance of love and blessings and may she come to learn she is His child.

I am available to talk, as so many of us are, for however long it takes. I extend my love to her. All of us are connected through God's love, no one need to despair alone.

"...and the greatest of these is love". There is only one power to lift the overwhelming darkness and that is love through God's divine Being. We know it, we feel it, and we must share it.
