Daily Prayer Thread !!!Plus The Word

Have been off line for a while, but glad you have a job. hope the hours improve.

I was off line away on a holiday break, but got to the hotel church and was quiet and thought about you all and said prayers for all of you on this thread. The ones i remember well PLUS the others who also come here.

This is an urgent prayer request. One of my coworkers is facing a Christmas tragedy. I found out she attended a family reunion on Christmas and right after her three aunts left to head back home their tire blew out sending the car into a tree and down a steep hill. One aunt was killed instantly and the other two are in critical condition. Please pray for her and her family.

Judges 7 I love this chapter . Verse 2 And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’

This chapter once again shows us this is not our battle God gives us many stories to take us to Ephesians 6.

5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.
6 And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water.
7 And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
My grandson did this once in the dogs bowl when he was still crawling and learning. That is what comes to mind as God is thinning out who He wants with verse 16 And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers.

He removed those with fear and He removed those that where trained , He took in the minds of children.

Fear is taught and when we have already been trained how things should be done , we can not be as trainable...His pattern of Who He chooses has not changed.
This chapter has many messages from dreams to strange behavior , God used people and things we would have never used, He amazes me. He shows us He knows how we even drink water .Luke 12:7But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.



We either believe this or we do not . I just know earth is a battle field and anytime I try to face the enemy on my own, I lose...The Sword of Lord is used several times in this chapter , Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Are we suited up ,are we trainable ???

Dear Heavenly Father , we call on Your name we ask You be with this family , we ask for the two that are fighting to live , You be with the hands that are caring for them , we ask for healing of body, soul and Spirit in a way that bring You glory, bring peace and comfort to the loved ones let the enemy have no power in this in Jesus name we pray amen

Now I do not see this , I see God is love and loves His creatures like this Matthew 10:29Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
This weekend God let me know to stop and take a break that I was to serious , He has this. We can either find bad in everything or the good of God.


I saw in that story the tricks of satan, I saw things are not as they appear. I loved it , I am the one that pinned it.

Luke 13 is very busy with wisdom spoken by Jesus. The first part is preaching repentance and shows us bad things happen to all, since we are all sinners.

Verse 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
Many have taken this as a one time event , I am not sure how that got so confused but we know Jesus told us no one is good except God.
Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
We only have to look at the lives in Judges to know we mess up all the time.

Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”


The last part of this chapter show us something very important , 31 On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, “Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You.”
32 And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ 33Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.

One is teaching truth was never safe. We like safe , we like safe homes, safe cars we want everything safe.
Jesus, Who God said , He was well pleased , told us this in verse 32 And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’
After we die we are perfected , why on earth would we ever think we would accomplish something better than Jesus ??? I have to go to what that Cross did , daily...We are to repent every time we are convicted of sin and some sin is so deep we do not even know it is there...John 16:8And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.
Luke 9:23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

So SO sad. Will do.

The problems I have with the story are that....

1. There's NOTHING in the beginning of the story to say that the old man and his dog had just died together.

2. As the story progresses, it APPEARS that the man LOVES his dog SO MUCH that he'd RATHER them both die versus the owner going in by himself and bringing some water back out for his dog. At NO POINT does it say that the owner could NOT come back out.

And finally...the story gives the impression that a rule about dogs will be a person's final choice between heaven and hell.

That is so wrong it's pathetic. The story is slanted to make folks think that loving a pet more than God is OK.

That is the trick of Satan.

If you go back and watch the episode, there is a mention of how the dog saved the old man's life years before. When the dog went after the coon in the water, the coon was trying to drown him, and the old man went into the water to save his dog, but both drowned.
The old man was faithful to his dog who was faithful to him.This is what this story is about, IMO, faithfulness no matter what, even at the cost of your life.

The final test of faithfulness was the old man's rejection of false paradise and false promises. The old man's dog alerted him that this first place was not what was portrayed by the gatekeeper, thus saving him once again.But the dog was OK with the second place on the road, which was the right place.

As for loving his dog, it was an unconditional love that was mutual, just like God loves us unconditionally, even if we are old, a bit cranky, and not perfect, or have some fleas(sins).

If you read some stories of people, especially children who have had an NDE, they saw animals in Heaven,and played with them. Why limit God to what awaits us in His Heavenly Kingdom?

I agree. God is LOVE without any criticism of anything. I see Him in everything.

Watch WHAT episode?

There's no LINK (or even mention) in the topic to either a story NOR a video / movie.



And the points I'm making have nothing to do with "limiting God" nor even whether there will be animals in heaven.

I'm just trying to make sure that folks understand that HE made the rules.



God and His Son DO listen to our petitions etc...and I've stated examples in the past such as....

***Moses and the fate of the people after the golden calf
***Abraham and the fate of Sodom et al...
***David at the threshing floor



But in the end, it's WE who have to accept God's Will.

And unfortunately, there's a LOT of so-called Believers who refuse to.

LGBT are one example of those who refuse to repent.

Been rough day

Yeah. Last couple days have been eye opening. Dolce and Gabbana and a Red lobster gift card didn't fix everything.

God will though. And can. I believe. Words have power. They do. Speak positive and life and Jesus and receive that... It seems so simple yet difficult 24/7... I speak comfort and love and joy and abundance over all souls who read in this thread.

So sorry to hear you are going through it Goofey.

I hope the dark clouds pass soon.

Judges 8 , takes me to my knees in humility of Who God is and His timing.
Out of love, something was said to me this week that if I had not known who I am in God , could have took me into a pit of despair. This person was trying to help and they did more than they will ever know, but not in a worldly way.

This person was trying to find me work where I could make extra income , because they know I am struggling. The words where , you are the poorest I have ever seen. My reply was , maybe money wise , but I am the richest I have ever been , Spiritually.

This person said , why don't you write a book somebody wants to read, like a love story!!!

Gideon had done what God told him to do , it looked nothing like what the world would have done. With the weakest and the those trumpets , pitchers and torches , Gideon did as God commanded.

1 Now the men of Ephraim said to him, “Why have you done this to us by not calling us when you went to fight with the Midianites?” And they reprimanded him sharply. Gideon's reply was, 3 God has delivered into your hands .
The words that was said to me , was like the words from the men of Ephraim to Gideon.

What God called me to do, looked strange in the worlds eyes. God picked a person that was obedient and was not afraid of strange. God picked a person that never took much stock in being popular. God picked a person that would not expect to be on the top selling list. God picked a person that was not afraid of authority. That is what God does...Not what the world does.

We are all about being entertained from our toys as child to sports , amusement parks the list is endless of how we have to be entertained.

The Lord was very clear , the book was not meant for any of that. I was given 20 free copies and when they came I prayed and ask who they should go to. The list was all popular people that the world knows , that teaches His word.
I did as He told me , not one reply came. I never thought about it much and God was working stuff out in me as well and my thoughts of the return from this. He knew and knows everything ,we do not.

Not sure many of us make the Bible our first choice for entertainment. God was very clear the book was for His church leaders, He has always been clear about this.

Gideon did all that God told him but Gideon wanted return for his efforts. We live in a world completely set up for return. When I wrote this book I spent our own money , money I was going to need later. It was not cheap and I took much wrath for it.
It was one of those times , I cried to God and He reminded me , our return on earth does not matter and that gave me peace.
Verse 24 Then Gideon said to them, “I would like to make a request of you, that each of you would give me the earrings from his plunder.” For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.
1 Corinthians 3
12 Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.

Our walks with God should not look like the our walks in the world, comfortable , rich , popluar and top selling can not be found in the life of Jesus, Peter or Paul. We work for things that will survive the fire. God has been showing the world in 2017 more than anytime I can recall , what matters... God allowed me to be comfortable for a good while , maybe He needs me to struggle, but the world says the opposite. Thank You Lord for Your Word...
