2 Chronicles 36

This is the last chapter in this book. If I ever doubted God and His timing and the power of the Bible , today took that away.
In this one chapter we read 3 times “and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.”

15And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: 16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
There is a common theme in the Scriptures from the beginning to the end . God always has His messengers and people either do not listen or they build golden calves when that messenger is out of sight.
The messengers have one responsibility and that is to obey God. From Moses to this chapter, how the people receive the message is not their responsibility.

There are a few that will understand how much I needed this chapter today, that is what God does ,that is what His Word does , it is living, it was perfect timing.

The Cross is seen all over this chapter. God sent us a perfect messenger and the people yelled Barabbas and sent Jesus to the Cross.

Those words in verse 16 “ until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy,” is coming again .

18 And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord , and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all these he brought to Babylon.


We are in the days of Nebuchadnezzar but we are God's vessels and Jesus paid a huge price for us to be His messengers and guard His truths. Just like those messengers that where mocked and misused , Jesus suffered that same treatment and tells us this.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

It is not our job to make others do and act in a certain way , it is God's...Jesus made the whole Word Living and we see why in this chapter . We have free will to follow Him or the way of Nebuchadnezzar...
We are not in charge of the human heart , God is. Josiah was not responsible for what his son did in this chapter. Josiah was not responsible for what Manasseh had done . We all have the same Book, we all love the same God , yet these chapters shows us nothing has changed, in the ways of humans...
We either love God with all our hearts or we are found in Babylon...The Kings can not drag our hearts off to Babylon as the did with those vessels , unless we let them...
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

My youngest is getting another car today, as her old one has multiple issues and it is time for it to go. The new vehicle is 3 years old and has an extended warranty.I pray it lasts her many years with no trouble.She needs something very dependable, as she has a long commute back and forth to work every day.

My brother Kenny should know the results of the tests by Monday. I will update you all as soon as I know.

Thank you for the prayers ! My youngest got another car yesterday, and it has an extended 125,000 mile warranty ! FYI, her old car didn't even want to start yesterday,but eventually did after a few tries.She got rid of it just in time ! :)

Tonight please lift up Simple , Tiger , Mercy Me and please add any I am not aware of going through the fire right now...

Small miracle over here. My husband is going to church with me tomorrow morning !!! :) It has been really rough around here, as he started to up his alcohol ante again.He asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day, and I told him I wanted him to go to church with me, nothing else. He has not been to church in about 12 years.He gave me a dozen roses yesterday !

My youngest asked me the same thing, and she is going with us too, but driving separately in her new car !!! :)

This is the first time that both of them are going to my new church home, and I hope it is not the last.I have found peace there, and I hope they do too.
