We went to the eye doctor again this morning, and he changed the contact lens bandage again. It hurt her like heck when he took the old one off. He says it looks like it is healing, and she has to go back again to see the doctor tomorrow morning. She still cannot drive, but she can partially open that eye now, and the pain has gone from 8-10 to a 4. We found another vehicle for her today, a Saturn Vue. We are going to get it thoroughly checked out at the shop Monday morning. It runs very well, but we want to make sure everything is nice and tight. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

There is small amounts of fluid build-up in both lung cavities, but they aren't too concerned with it at this point. She does go back into the ER next Monday to get another chest x-ray to make sure that it isn't building up at a rate that her body cannot handle with natural absorption. Also, since she was still in the hospital today, we had to reschedule her follow-up appointment with Dr. Linnell for Tuesday for follow-up with her shoulder and wrist surgeries. She is scheduled for the final reconstructive surgery with her plastic surgeon for the ear on March 7th. All of your prayers are just go greatly appreciated by both of us! for all here and for all requested prayers. I Want To Believe |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 71433356 United States 02/23/2019 08:36 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Nehemiah is important right now for all of us. God has each family or person where He wants them. Some were born where they are , others if they ask are where He wanted them to go or be. I use to not ask and that got me in a lot of trouble. We live in a world we can go anywhere we want . Not sure how Nehemiah went back home but he stayed there for over 10 years. He stayed there until restoration was completed. “Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” If we are in the kingdom God placed us and we take the Light He gave us out of that kingdom it will end up like Nehemiah 1:3. “Nehemiah 1: 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. “ We may can drive and be in a Kings Palace as Nehemiah was but what good is that for those we left behind. Nehemiah and Jesus left their palace to save others. “Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.” “Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” Our lives are not our own and we have all been given a job to do in our kingdom where God has us. God help us do Your will not ours... |

abeliever Members User ID: 71443423 United States 02/23/2019 10:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Prayer Request. Quoting: tiger1 Part 1: My middle daughter Elizabeth needs prayers. Yesterday was a bad day for her. First, earlier in the day, her Ford Expedition started acting up. When she shut it off, the blower would not shut off, and drained the battery. The electronic part is no longer made, and between the mechanic shop looking everywhere, and my daughters searching the net, no part can be found. So, she has a beautiful vehicle that is old but has low mileage, but looks like new, that will now have to be scrapped. She is really upset.I am taking her tomorrow to look for another vehicle. Part 2. GEESH, just when you think it can't get any worse, I will be the one test driving vehicles for her tomorrow when we are on the search.I already got the list made up of various dealers and various vehicles in her price range.Thank God her tax return is coming in tomorrow, as that gives her the money for another vehicle. Elizabeth got a serious eye injury yesterday evening, and cannot drive at the moment. She cannot see out of her right eye, and is in extreme pain. It was a freak accident. She was getting her youngest, little AJ, who is 1 year old, ready for bed. He poked her in the eye, his fingernail ripped her cornea. She went to the ER last night, and I took her to the eye specialist this morning. She has to go back to the eye specialist again tomorrow morning. The doctor put a contact lens in her right eye, to act like a bandage over the injury. She is on 5 different meds. She has a deep cut in the lens. Her eye and the surrounding area is swollen. She, who has the highest pain tolerance of anyone I know, is crying in pain. When Elizabeth was a child, she went to Shriners for numerous surgeries, bone grafts, cartilage grafts, really heavy duty and painful surgeries, and never complained about any pain. She is very tough, but now she is one crying basket case. The doctor is concerned for possible scarring, as the cut is exactly in the middle, and she might have permanent vision loss. Her eyesight was 20/20 in both eyes until last night. When Elizabeth was a child, her vision was 20/15, better than normal. Now she cannot see out of her right eye. She will be missing a week from work, and she doesn't get sick pay. Please pray for her healing, my friends ! Add an extra prayer to find a good used vehicle for her too, that will be sturdy enough to get the kids to school, and her to work. Well, unfortunately Samantha will be spending at least one more night in the hospital. They wanted her to pass a couple of walking tests where they walk her up and down the halls while monitoring her vitals. The first test she did okay with her oxygen levels, but her heart rate was too high. The second test they did, her heart rate went even higher and her oxygen numbers dropped too low. Quoting: TrustNoOneKS There is just a little bit of fluid in the both lung cavities, but at this point they are not concerned about it. I'm headed back to the hospital for the night in a bit. for all here and for all requested prayers. Oh my!! Praying |

tiger1 User ID: 76712081 United States 02/23/2019 02:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Prayers said for all. Elizabeth Update. The good news is the lens of the eye is healing. The bad news is that the eyeball itself is all inflamed. She has to go back to the eye doctor again on monday morning. She will get different meds for this new problem. She still cannot see, everything is still blurred. The doctor said that after a serious eye injury, the vision is the last thing to come back after the eye is totally healed up. He doesn't know how much vision Elizabeth will get back, at this point. He doesn't think it will all come back, and has told her she should be prepared to have to get glasses. Going from 20/20 in both eyes to having one legally blind, at this point, is quite devastating. She is rather upset. Please pray that all of her vision comes back !!! The Saturn is going through a total check-up and then some. It was taken to the oil change place this morning, got an oil change, filters replaced, and a good going over. Everything checks out great so far.Right now, it is sitting in line at the Muffler Place. We know it needs a muffler and tailpipe, and that will be done today. Monday it will be taken to the Repair Shop, put on a scope, and gone over with a fine tooth comb.My husband thinks it possibly needs a front end alignment. Other than that, it appears to need nothing else. We want to make sure it is top notch before it transports my precious daughter and grandchildren. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Today, actually, this whole year so far, and might as well throw in last year into the mess also, has just been so trying. It has been one thing after another. Last year was one disaster and heartbreak after another. My oldest daughter had got into that serious car wreck, my dear sweet old dog Sheba passed away, and everything kept on breaking down, falling apart, etc.My brother Kenny was diagnosed with rectal cancer, my mother dies, just everything going crazy. Well, today my washer went kaput. It has been repaired many times, and had been on it's last wash for a while. So, I ended up doing 3 loads of laundry by hand. I am glad I still have the old fashioned laundry tubs in my basement.Time to use my emergency charge card. Not having a washer IS an emergency. My hands hurt so bad right now, as my arthritic crooked blasted old fingers don't work very well anymore. I got a call from Kenny. I am going to meet him at my mothers old house after church tomorrow. He is still sick. His guts never started working right, and it seems that the cancer is back. I am going to find out for sure tomorrow, and this is just killing me. With all the strife with my mother passing away, and now this. Sorry for the rant. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
