and thanks. He is being attacked because of the prophecy over his life and who he is supposed to be in the Lord. I know this, but as a mom it is hard to watch him fall when I know who he is and what he will do for God. Like my sister said, "Jesus take the wheel". That is my prayer for him. : ) I know that God will prevail.

Hebrews is very unique , we do not know who wrote it but just wow at its beauty . If you have never listened to or read all the way through without stopping do it. Those verses sums up many things about this life we live. God created earth and the heavens and He will destroy it like an old garment. We were to never slip from all we read in Scriptures and we were to take salvation more earnest than anything we did in life.

Think back to how earnest they took following God when they followed. We were and are to be even more earnest. There was always an end coming and each generation was to have the next ready.

“ Hebrews 4: Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. “

That verse and others was to always keep us from slipping from the truth and going into the pits of the world or coming up short of what is to come. There was never space between the old and new they stood strong together. I have people tell me the old testament does not go with the new. It was always One story never to be divided or we fill in our own parts.

“Hebrews 4: 12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. “

We have created our own administration and have decided who has power over what. We forgot what all this and Who permits verse 3 “ And this will we do, if God permit.” Jesus the Son of God did the will of His Father and became perfect and we were to always work towards perfection as well. When we did anything on God's planet that was outside of His will, it ends up in the fire to be burned. There has always been those that worked using God's name but was not called by or knew Him, from Genesis to today.

“Hebrews 9:26 For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

“The end of the world,” clock began with Jesus.

Jesus is in the whole Bible , if you have never read the old testament seeing Jesus in every story , do it.
Jesus became the one time sacrifice , so that God's laws can be written on our hearts and minds. We were to never waver. We were to be looking for “the day approaching.” We were to never lose fear of not following God.

“Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. “

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. 27 And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. 28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: 29 For our God is a consuming fire.”

Are you or have been chastened ? Do you know what that looks like in our modern world of distractions and ways , if not read Job and read every word of God.

“Hebrews 13: 7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. 8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. “
We are in a sea of strange doctrines spend time in the so called old testament. See what true faith and following God looks like, who He called to give us examples of what faith in Him looks like. Jesus went to the Cross to do His father's will and Jesus says take up that Cross daily. We have to die daily to the things and ways of the world.
God knows there are many right now on earth, that have made themselves something that are nothing. God knows that there are dead branches all over the place , that are in power that should not be. God knew and knows all things . If you have power right now and people follow what you say ,are they following you or God??? Never want power on earth and never place yourself above others. Peter chosen, hand picked by God knew this and we were to know this.
Have we told ourselves how vile we are today as Job had to come to understand .
“Hebrew 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?”

The most dangerous place in life to be , is to think we are more than a blade of grass “1 Peter 1:24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away. 25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. ”

The Word of God is the only thing that is something and Jesus made it living. We were to follow and keep it alive in each other , that is all that matters for the great day coming...
The messages has been long of late , God knows there are those not getting it and He wants them to get it.

“Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:”

What is Holy in an world of sin? What does it look like to be Holy since we are called to be Holy?
The only answer is in what God considers Holy.

“Exodus 3:5And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. “

Long ago I was convicted to take my shoes off in my place I pray to Him daily.

“Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
God calls the Sabbath Holy.
“Exodus 28:2 And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.”

God wanted them to wear special garments.

Exodus 28:35 And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

God considers time to worship Him Holy. Holy is in Scriptures before Matthew over 500 times and then over 160 times from Matthew to Revelation.

“1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.”

Being Holy did not go away with the Cross. The Cross helped us be more Holy than those trying to live by the Law without the Holy Spirit of God.

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Do I have to wear a special garment or take my shoes off ? Why would I not want to I, if those were things God loved or wanted?
“Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.”

Hebrew 5: 7 Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared; 8 Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered...



We truly do not understand the sacrifice that was made. When was the last time you heard a sermon on this and “ He feared , “ or how Jesus learned obedience for us by the things He suffered?

“Matthew 24: 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.”

Never understood people that read scriptures and thought they would not face what Jesus faced for us. That is why He face it ...



“Hebrews 9: 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”

A second time is very clear...

“1 John 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. “

Jonah 2: 7 When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple. 8 They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord. 10And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.

How ironic a five year old told me this week he would like to be in the belly of a shark. I am not sure we are in a time that believes God would put someone in the belly of a big fish because they tried to hide from Him and His call.

“Matthew 12:38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. 39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.”

That is a strong warning about repentance ...I am a firm believer in the story of Jonah. Running away, trying to hide or ignoring God never works out. Denying the power of God is what Jonah did. Denying Jesus is not what we have made it in our generation. We do not have the details of why the people in Nineveh repented , all that matters was the outcome because they did. The outcome when we forget can be seen in Nahum.

“Nahum 1: 2 God is jealous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies. 3 The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. 4 He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers: Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5 The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein. 6 Who can stand before His indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him. 7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him. 8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue His enemies.”

This is what it looks like when they and we forget Who we pray to...Jonah forgot and we forget. Following God was never easy in this land of thorns and thistles...Do we think the wicked or His enemies are only those that chop off heads ,hand and feet as Nineveh had been doing. Do we understand His enemies can be someone sitting in church every Sunday where it is safe and comfortable ? Read Jonah again...
When think all that happen in Nahum is bad , then we do not understand His ways and they are only good ...
