She had heart issues this afternoon, arrhythmia. The tests they ran the last couple days are inconclusive, and she will have further testing, including a biopsy tomorrow.

I saw that and thought the same thing! There is a reason for that miracle.

That exact same thing happened to my sister's house. The tornado had left minor damage and debris in her backyard. It was the only house that didn't come down in the neighborhood. My brother-in-law remembers the wind being so strong as he was coming into the rear door of the home. He said he thinks he blacked out from the pressure, and when he came to, somehow he ended on the front lawn! The reason for that miracle, we believe, is that her husband wasn't a believer. Shortly after that storm/tornado, my brother-in-law became a believer!

So when I saw that home, I thought God has a plan....

Deuteronomy 4 is long and full of information, Jesus repeats and fulfills what they did not. The statement God made with Moses not going into the promise land was and is a strong message for us all, about doubting and disobeying. Those people were to remember why and we are.

“Matthew 5: 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. “

When we read from Deuteronomy to Matthew we see how many times they disobeyed and what happened to them when they did and why we needed Jesus.

“Daniel 5:4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. “
“1 Corinthians 3:11For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15if any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's.”
The message from the beginning to the end in the Bible is the same. They defiled the temple made by hands and we have. We were to not defile the temple in us , after Jesus suffered , died and rose. We may think we have not built and worshiped other gods but satan was and is very clever.
“Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.”

How many of us followed all the commandments since our youth as this man had? How many of us would walk away from money, how we make money and all we have to follow Jesus ? Anything in our lives we are not willing to walk away from friends , family and possessions, is a little god in our lives.
In Deuteronomy it was all about seeking Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul , that did not change. We allowed satan to make following Jesus like our fast food lanes, fast and easy.

Deuteronomy 4 verses 29 and 30 can be found in Matthew to Revelation. The people in Deuteronomy 4 heard God's voice. In Matthew to Revelation they heard the Word of God through His Son Jesus Christ. It became living...
“Luke 9:35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.”
“Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick(living), and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Everything the people from Genesis to Revelation made , worked for outside of God is gone.
“Ecclesiastes 1:2 Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”
“2 Chronicles 7:9 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; 20Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations. 21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house? 22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.”
“1 Kings 11: 11 Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. “

Jesus did not pay it all for us to not follow His commands. Material things of this world , like the love of power and money was always death... They could not have and love both and we can not. Today we have time to see what little gods are in our lives. We have time to see where are little gods come from and what they are. Our bodies , souls and Spirits , the new temple, had to work towards perfection. There was no space between the old covenant and the new that we filled in what we wanted. We no longer have to sacrifice an animal because Jesus became our Sacrifice.
We were to never stop following “Deuteronomy 4: 2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. “
It only became easier to follow as they were suppose to because we have access to the Holy Spirit of God. If Jesus came as He did in Matthew 4 what would you not want to give up? He told us to not even be Lot's wife and look back , that was hard for them and us...
“Luke 18: 26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. 28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”

Examine what we are holding on to , that would keep us from everlasting life, is what we are being called to do.

2nd Word Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.



If we know all that will happen before Jesus returns, then we better be praying this prayer. Not only for ourselves but our loved ones that are sick and it would be hard to endure the things coming. God has been showing us many things so take comfort right now if you have lost a loved one early.

“Luke 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.”

There is going to be a generation alive to see all things be fulfilled spoke of before Jesus comes on those clouds. We do not want to know any other signs more than those spoken of in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 , 2 Timothy and 2 Peter, every generation.
So if you are feeling sad at losing a loved one or stressed at the state of the world remember these wonderful words of Solomon.
“Ecclesiastes 7:2 It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart. 8Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. “

Excellent words GFG. Both remind me that we are to prepare for all types of loss, lean on the Father and trust that Jesus is there with us. Our rewards are in Heaven.

Amen dear Lord

I believe that the Lord is refining us now...the more fuel to the fire the more we are refined and purified.

He will take us through the fire but will be our shield in the fire.

Love you all and Know the Lord loves us through it all

Many of us believe this to be true.

Funny you should post this, was contemplating trials, tribulations and being put through the Holy fire just this morning.
It’s certainly is not fun but at least I am no longer resentful or bitter as before.
