tiger1 User ID: 77774028 United States 04/19/2020 08:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Today has been stressful. Roy had 3 grand mal seizures this morning. One was long, and 2 were shorter. He also had explosive diarrhea late this morning. I am glad he was in the bathroom, but unfortunately was not sitting on the toilet. The incident mandated scrubbing the toilet, sink, cabinets, garbage can, walls, floor, litter box, etc. I had to take a bath and wash my clothes too.I am Blessed to have a cast iron stomach. The visit with his brothers was OK. No fighting for a change. Roy has been very belligerent today, and keeps on trying to leave the house. The Easter dinner came out perfect, even with all that was going on today and having to interrupt my cooking several times because of issues with Roy. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

tiger1 User ID: 77774028 United States 04/20/2020 05:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Things have been relatively calm here today.Just a small mess to greet me this morning. Roy was coherent this morning, went to the bathroom by himself, but now as the day is progressing, he is once again in a fog. I had a dog follow me home today. My oldest was going to take Jewel out for a walk, but I did instead. A walk on a half decent day was something I needed. At the Monon Trail, which is at the west end of my street, a dog that was loose wanted to play with a neighbors 2 Chihuahuas, who didn't want to play. Jewel didn't want to play either, but she half tolerated the dog.We did a long walk down the trail and went to the other trail at the other end of my street, with the other dog by our side. Well, she came home with me, and is inside right now. A very well trained and nice dog, but my dog Jewel is not too happy. I called animal control, and because of the virus, they are not picking up any dogs Calls to a rescue were not answered. Animal control called me back later, and because of our circumstances here, said they would take her if I brought her in. Instead, I am fostering her for a few days to see if her family can be found. When my oldest daughter comes back here in the morning, I am going to take this dog to the Vet, and have her checked for a microchip. If she doesn't have one, I will get a rabies shot for her. I got to wait 3 days minimum to see if she gets claimed. She just might have a permanent home here, even though things are not good at the moment. Here is a weird part. This dog acts like she has been here before. This dog follows me everywhere, and stays by my side. She is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, like my old dog Sheba, who passed away 2 years ago.She is light brown with white markings, where Sheba was white with light brown markings. When I went digging in the cabinet for a spare leash, I found Sheba's leash and collar. I don't know what is going to happen over here, but we are going day by day. Thank you for the prayers ! Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
Fluffy Pancakes User ID: 78821960 United States 04/20/2020 06:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like a lovely dog! But I don't think you should vaccinate her until you know if she actually doesn't have an owner looking for her. If she's already been vaccinated it could hurt her to do it again too soon. Lovely that you're getting a gift like this at this time, Tiger. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." If she's already been vaccinated it could hurt her to do it again too soon. Lovely that you're getting a gift like this at this time, Tiger. I got to get her vaccinated, and hope she recently has not had one. She is about 8 months old, and already had pups, but from the looks of her mammary glands, she is no longer nursing. She is a smaller Staffie than my Sheba was. Where I found her is less than 2 blocks from the state line with Illinois, and she could be from there. My oldest daughter has posted about this dog on her social media accounts. This dog has been trained, knows several commands, and is housebroken. Roy really likes this dog. She wags her whole body when she wags her tail, and slobbers everyone. She is giving Roy a lot of attention, and he is soaking it up. Right now, she is laying at my feet under the desk. Whether she stays with us or not, I think she was sent here for a reason. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |
tiger1 User ID: 77774028 United States 04/20/2020 10:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tiger1 I PM'd you again. Quoting: DMJ I had a German Shorthair dog named Jewel. One of the best dogs I've had. My Jewel is a Smooth Fox Terrier, and right now is a bit grumpy about another dog being here. If we keep this dog, if no one claims her, she will be called Princess. She is gorgeous ! When my middle daughter came over earlier and saw this dog, she remarked as to how beautiful she was. She is a stunner, for sure, and a slobber puss. I have fostered and rescued many dogs and other animals over the years. The dogs and cats all got very good homes. The wildlife was all returned to the wild, as it should be.
