Puerto Rico, Florida Merger

All very nice for Puerto Rico, one big PITA for Florida. Chance of this actually happening? I figure 0.05%

The US should have let Puerto Rico go back when the Separatists were literally shooting up the US Capital /Congress and trying to attack the US President (Truman) in Blair House with automatic weapons.

If the US had done that back then there would NOT be a huge welfare state on the US's Southern Border that the US was obligated to pour money into every year.

If the US had done that back then there would be NO automatic US Citizenship for Puerto Ricans so they could "legally" move to the US (most that come would probably still come, just illegally like the Mexicans do).

If the US had done that back then NYC and South Florida would have retained more of their English Speaking Heritage vs. the current state of NEEDING to speak Spanish in large parts of both areas.

Maybe it's time for Puerto Rican separatists to AGAIN DEMAND separation from the US ... and I say let's GIVE IT TO THEM!! They would be happier ... and the US would be better off.

separatists make up a very very small part of that population...the island simply would not survive on it's own..trust me I know...they need statehood whether they want it or not

There are more Puerto Ricans in NY than in PR.....seriously...they live part time in both places to game the system.....

States cant go bankrupt that's why I would propose to merge them into Florida.
