At a Cost of $3,000,000,000,000, The Ronald Reagan Funeral Features 21 Billion Gun Salute
6/7/2004 - Robert Krupto

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to White House sources, Ronald Reagan will be honored at his funeral with a 21 billion gun salute. The salute is estimated to cost in the neighborhood of $3,000,000,000,000; it is widely believed that the expense will be ignored until a future generation is forced to deal with it.
Reagan, the fortieth president of the United States, is best known for his arms buildup against the Soviet Union and the massive deficits that followed. He is cherished by conservatives for his staunch anti-Communism and defeat of the Soviet Union, yet loathed by liberals for his presumed disdain for the poor and minorities.

The 21 billion gun salute will issue from guns strategically placed all over the globe. The vast majority will be fired from the continental United States itself, along with others fired in Britain, Italy, Hungary, Turkey, India, South Korea, the Philippines, Hawaii, and Alaska. Shots fired from Russia will be shot down as they travel toward the sky.

It is rumored that some guns intended for the salute were funneled to Iran and that he sale of those guns will be used to pay the funeral's Nicaraguan minister Eduardo Sanchez. Reagan successor, ex-President George H. W. Bush, who is in Tehran on "personal business," had no comment.

The intended display of egregious pomp at Reagan's funeral so infuriated the Russians that they immediately killed Mikhail Gorbachev and mobilized resources to mark his burial with a 22 billion gun salute. As they began to move guns into Vietnam, China, North Korea, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and France the Russian economy collapsed and they were forced to grind Gorbachev into dog food. Some are already arguing that there is no correlation between Reagan salute and the failure of the Russian economy; others go on as if Russian state never failed in the first place.

Every time we are left holding the bag.

Regards Gates, we shall see. They only have two more years to completely screw us/USA up.
