Where would Jung place a Muslim burqa in the archetypes of our human psyche?
Anytime in western society I pass a gaggle of Islamic women in their black body bags, I cannot help but wonder how implicitly derisive their culture is to the natural law of human activity, progress and creation, as expressed In Jung's archetypes.

"Carl Gustav Jung used the concept of archetype in his theory of the human psyche. He believed that universal, mythic characters—archetypes—reside within the collective unconscious of people the world over. Archetypes represent fundamental human motifs of our experience as we evolved; consequentially, they evoke deep emotions."

Very simply put, when I pass a group of women covered head-to-toe in black cloth with only a slit for their eyes, I automatically think of them being spooks, ghouls, ghosts, or demons.

I posit that this is not learned but already in my psyche, as Jung expressed, and is just one more reason Islam is so terribly fucked up.

Any thoughts here?

Not sure about Jung, but I did read one book by a Jungian analyst who knew Jung, and this analyst said that Monks etc are the physical manifestation of deep inner issues with the shadow; or huge neurosis writ large.

Maybe the Innocent because they are seeking a sense of safety through invisibility and conformity. Without the burqa, they would feel exposed, and therefor unsafe in the world.

Jung would probably place the burqa over the man's ID.

Since it is because of his inability to control his ego - that he must cover beauty to protect it from his kind.

Very low animal, territorial circuit.

imo
